My Nissan 2012 quest is blowing a lot of white smoke, shaking on acceleration and now beginning to leak oil.

why not have the fault codes read first to find the fault
could be misfiring from faulty injectors
Black smoke is injectors or injector seals and that could also be the shaking
don't go near the dealership as they obviously have no idea if they say new engine and didn't read the fault codes

Engine misses when you excelerate. when its hot engine wont start

It could be to much air, not enough fuel. Or to much fuel, not enough air. Most likely the first, unless you notice a lot of black smoke when accelerating. Check engine light on? Also could be the catalytic converter/s. Have the codes read. repost.

I have white smoke coming from the tailpipe and a decrease in gas mileage on my 2007 Nissan Quest.

Does the car overheat? Has it overheated in the past prior to the white smoke? Is the coolant level low? Does it run poorly? Is the white smoke constant or initially at start up? If at start up and then clears it is possible that it may just be condensation. If constant and has a sweet smell and you can answer the above questions with a yes then it is possible you have a blown head gasket. Good luck.

My 2007 nissan quest stopped running while driving down the road and refuses to start now. It popped a bad cam sensor code so I changed both of them and the crank sensor. When I try to start it it cranks...

In the Nissan Quest, 1993-02, the cam sensor is in the distributor and replacing the distributor fixes it. Usually the engine runs when cold, then fails when it is hot. Not usre where it is on the 2007 Quest.

Rich Porter sells reman distributors on ebay for $200.

We talk about it on our website for Villager Quest owners.

White smoke is coming for rear exhaust pipe after start up and sometime after acceleration

White smoke is usually the sign of a blown headgasket.. I would have the coolant system pressure tested before any serious damage is done.

I recently had an accident with my 1995 nissan quest & had to replace the radiator & fan & transmission coolant radiator . Now , when I start it up & drive it a little ways , it starts to...

BEST THING TO DO IS PRESSURE TEST THE RAD. THIS WILL PRODUCE THE LEAK YOU HAVE IF SMOKE IS COMING FROM ENGINE IF SMOKE IS COMING FROM TAIL PIPE. GO TO PARTS STORE BUY A HEAD TEST KIT VERY EASY TO DO. LETS MAKE SURE NO HEAD DAMAGE WAS DONE AT TIME OF ACCIDENT.

Oil consumptiom

Figuring off of national standards thata gasoline engine is allowed to burn 1qt. of oil every 2,000 miles tthey would be correct. But That is not to say for that particular engine providing that oil has been changed every 3000 miles,There could be other problems contributing to your car,for instance cklogged pcv valve, leaking injectors or fuel preasure regulator both can cause fuel contamination to engine oil (Dillution) Thins oil too much,or overheat condition,or failed cat convertor. With this in mind talk with another Nissan dealer if only by Phone.

Engine won't start

It still should be under the manufacture warranty of 3 year 36,000 miles. Which is bumper to bumper coverage. The engine and drivetrain are covered under 6 year 60,000 miles.

Your best bet is to have it towed to the dealer. Warranty will also pay for your towing fees.

2000 Nissan Quest Smoke and Miss

The Motor is Burning oil. This is the cause of the White Smoke. The noise is Possibly a Lifter inside the Motor. The only way to get these to stop is to Rebuild that Motor at this Point.
