92 Park Ave stalls, no codes..!

My 1992 Buick Park Ave starts right up...runs for 15 minutes...Turn it off or it stalls, sometime the check engine light comes on sometimes not...Let it rest till its cool to the touch and it starts right back up first on second revolution...I know that there is no spark at the plugs after it deceides to take a break...#@#!*&^* Whats going on? Is it the cam sensor, the crank sensor, the ignition coil, the map...the egr...pcv or the CIA...Trying to keep my sense of humor...Please help me with this off and on problem...Thanks

Sounds like the ignition module that sits under the coil packs ... did you ever get any codes out of it when the light was on ?

Testimonial: "No...No codes ever...How can I check the module? Oh...Also...the engine idle goes from 7-800 to 1000 rpm just before it turns off... "

There was problems with both mass air flow sensors and ignition modules on those cars.. Without being able to retreive codes or looking at the data stream you might want to check around for a donor car to try some parts off of . My first thought is the module because of the heat sync problem. good luck.

92 buick park ave 3.8 sudden bad hesitation loss of power

This is likely a problem with the Mass Airflow sensor, it is a sensor that reads the amount of air going into the engine, when it fails it causes severs hesitation and power loss. Contact a local parts store or your GM dealer for a rebuilt one, the part is about $150.00. It is locate in the air intake hose to the engine.

I replaced the harmonic balancr as well as the crank sensor on my 92 century. The car runs fine for a while but will stall and will not start in gear. only in park or nuetral. the obd said a code 12 which...

check the electronic spark control...ESC located under the coil packs, ive had similar problems with the 3.3 and the 3.8 gm engines, as the mount location couldent be worse. good luck!

92 buick park ave security light on car wont start

Someone put the wrong key (resistor value) in the ignition lock, you will have to disconect the battery for 3 min. Make sure you have the right key. Very important! Make sure the climate control is off before disconecting/conecting the battery.

94 Buick Pk Ave. restart problems

I had the same problem once, bought a new radiator pressure cap and it ended. Though the Code 41 doesn't play with that theory.

Look at this post for a 1990 Buick, scroll about halfway down the page or search for the word "code 41."
