Try undoing the topmost hose clip to expell any trapped air in system(engine running and hot...)

We changed the radiator and hoses and the thermostat and the cap to the radiator and the water pump it is still over heating what else could be wrong with it please help already spent to much money on it...


heres a couple of cheap ideas If after changing coolant or any time you have worked on the system, you must bleed all air out of the cooling system. Trapped air can cause an air pocket which will cause a hot spot and overheating. Some cars have bleeder screws and some don't. Check your owner's manual. If there is no bleeder valves and you suspect trapped air, park the car uphill or jack up the front, start the engine with the radiator cap removed and run until it reaches operating temp.

Common cause for this is too much water, not enough antifreeze. Evaporation is called "boil over". Adding antifreeze to water increases its boiling point. Since water boils at 212 degrees, and (my car) optimal operating temperature is 190 degrees - there is a thin line from running normal to "boiling over". Solution - the mix in the radiator should be 50% antifreeze and 50% water. To get the correct ratio antifreeze to water, buy a coolant test kit or buy your coolant in pre-mixed bottle.

check all your hoses. check to make sure the fans are turning on. was the thermostat replaced as well?

My 99 chrysler lhs is running hot and and leaking water


where is it leaking from? is it low in water from leaking? there is a hole on top of your water pump if the seals go bad in it thenit will leak water till the piont thatit gets low and cause heating.check for location and let me know.last thing you want to say is blown headgasket

1997 Chrysler LHS is overheating


If when you replaced coolant you noticed taht it fills slowly, the radiator could be internally blocked. Usually it can be flushed or if really bad, replace it. Also have the radiator checked for hydrocarbons...any in there tells you that there is a head gasket problem.

Replaced cracked radiator in 2000 Chrysler LHS but car still overheating. What could be the problem?


fix the radiator first.because coolant temperature sensor need to be in antifreeze.when antifreeze get up to 190 degrees. the coolant sensor act as a thermostat.it resistance decrease then the pcm will command cooling fans to run.if antifreeze low the coolant temperature sensor not going to work. engine is going to over heat.

I need to change the radiator thermostat in a 1994 chrysler lhs, does it have anything to do with airconditiong and the car ran hot? Aaron Foots


It doesnt really have anything to do with A/c.The thermostat is located under the housing that the top radiator hose connects to on the motor.pretty simple job.The car may run hotter with the A/C on because it has to work a little harder to run A/C pump.But when A/C is on so should the A/C fan which should help cool it a little
