Hi this maybe due to the brake switch being either stuck in or the switch itself has broken, if you look under your dashboard where the brake peddle is, you should see a black or white plastic thing being held to a small bracket, there should be a little plunger sticking out, if not, unplug the switch ( should be a 2 wire plug ) then undo the nut holding it in the bracket, and have a look and see if the plunger is broken or just stuck in, it could have some dirt holding it in place, just pull it back out and lubricate with a light oil, obviously if it is broken just purchase a new one....hope this helps please vote thanks

The light is showing a malfunction of the anti lock brake system , Not the mechanicals of the brakes. Have it scanned for codes .

HAVE A 2006 MITSUBISHI ENDEAVOR I GOT A LIGHT THAT LOOKS LIKE A HORSE SHOE WITH AN EXCLAMATION POINT. CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT THAT IS I DID NOT GET AN OWNERS MANUAL WITH THE CAR.

This is not a good warning light as it relates to your Braking system !!!

Brake system warning light

brake_fluid_light_72.jpg
This light will remain illuminated when the handbrake is engaged. Illumination after releasing the handbrake may indicate low brake fluid level (MUST CHECK THIS IMMEDIATELY AND RECTIFY).

Hope the information is useful ... be extremely careful and attend to this warning immediately if it is still on with your handbrake off and brake fluid top up!

2004 Endeavor Anti Lock comes on

First disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 15 min's. This resets the computer. Then drive it watch the dash for anything that illuminates. Connect a OBD2 reader to your obd2 port scan for codes. Troubleshoot your car. It really not that hard. Like following a line. Check your brake cpu unit. Get the car manual to. Check how to test the Brake module. If the voltage and ohms are correct. Go to the next part in line, electrically speaking. Find what input and output
location of the ALB system on the PCM (computer). determine what sensor is connected to the PCM and test them. If all ok. Look for a mechanical failure.
