Where is the starter located under the suburban?

Your year and make would be handy. Suburban is the model, I guess, a chevy?
One of the positive battery cables should go to starter motor, follow the cable. The starter motor drive gear has to engage the flywheel, the flywheel is on back of engine, rwd. So the starter motor would be on the passenger or driver side, rear of engine. Get at it from underneath.

Check your Brake Switch on the Back of your Brake Pedal, you have loose wires or your switch is not working properly

I have a 1996 Chevy Suburban 1500. No crank or any noise or sound when trying to start. Battery is good, even tried jumping to make sure. Could this be the starter? If so, where is it located?

The starter is next to the side of the lower engine block where the engine and trans meet(I believe on the passenger side on GM V8s)You should get 12 volts on the small(purple?) wire of the solenoid when the key is turned to "start".If you don't get 12 volts when the key is turned,it could be the switch on the shifter(usually referred to as the PRNDL switch)IF you get 12 volts at the solenoid when you turn the key, replace the starter(my Chevy work truck has gone through 6 starters(ONE A YEAR)since I've had it!)

Does the 1995 Chevy Suburban have a solenoid and where is it located. thankyou

Yes it does, it is the small round canister bolted to the top of the starter. The starter is bolted to the bottom rear of the engine on the passenger side.

How to change the starter on a 1991 chevy suburban

in order too replace your starter it is up under your engine. located on the driver side of your truck. It should only be 3 bolts that are 9/16. remove those and the wiring connecting too the starter. pull it out and you will be able too put a new one right in.

I have a 96 chevy suburban w/5.7L 350, that has needed 5 starters

If you are shimming them correctly, there should not be a problem. I will say from experience that a lot of the Auto Zone/Advance Auto Parts starters/alternators are junk. I started buying from Napa, and the dealer, and have had minimal problems since.
