Where is the drier receiver on a 2006 Toyota Highlander

Yes, the cartridge is on the side of the condenser. It can be replaced without replacing the condenser. The expansion valve is on the firewall where the lines go to the evaporator.

To check for leak in evaporator, charge the system fully, with green neon dye,and use the glasses made for that.Let the ac run a good bit ,and condensation is leaking from the evaporator case, and look for the dye in the condensation.

Photo sensor engine check light

The dash removal would mean the the evaporator is what is bad the condenser is located in front of your radiator it possible the temp change caused this I would get the part that is bad replaced first make sure of the part that is being changed if the mechanic stated that the condenser is bad remember this is located in front of the radiator

Can't find AC Leak

their has to be a leak you will need yellow uv glasses and a blacklight to find it.. if the evaporator core is leaking it won't be visible since it is located inside the heater case behind the dash. make sure to look at all ac components, compressor, lines, fittings, reciever dryer, and condenser a cheap book for your car will show you the locations of these components in case your not familiar with the system

The AC evaporator is leaking on my 97 grand cherokee. Floor boards full of water. The evaporator was replaced 2 years ago. What should I do?

The drain tube for the evaporator case is plugged with various debris which allows the normal accumulation of condensed water to overflow the case onto the floorboard. Run a brush or similar tool into the tube which should immediately drain the cavity. If you catch the water in a pan, inspect it for debris. This should work ok for a year or so, then re-clean the drain as needed. The more the AC is run, the more debris will accumulate. Hope this helps!

My a/c cabin cooling begins to degrad 4 to 5 days after a recharge. The dealer recharged with a UV leak detector after pressure checking but could not immediately detect a leak anywhere. They said to bring...

To find the leak ,if it is the evaporator, look ,for the dye to come out the drain where the condensation drains,Wash the excess dye of the service port with carburetor cleaner,it is most likely spill over.Inspect the compressor too, they are more likely to leak at the seams, and the shaft seal.Look under the compressor,it will drain down,do not forget the condenser, look at it on both sides.I hope this was helpful

Catera 1998 a/c starts off with cool air and then gets warmer

I would have the dealer evaluate whether the radiator flaps and shrouds are all in place. Especially in Fla climate it is extremely important that the A/C condenser ( front of radiator ) stay at an appropriate temp. Of course that is not to say the EVAPORATOR doesn't have any faults. Hope this helps.
