The seat moves forward and backward via a motor. When you press the switch the motor activates and functions as you press the switch. You checked the switch and its working on passenger side so switch is fine, but motor indicates to be faulty.Either the motor is stuck r its faulty. It has to be checked and confirmed. ----------- Also the other possibility can be blown fuse. blown BJB (Battery Junction Box) fuse 421 (20A).
------------
If fuse is checked good and switch is good then its motor issue or the switch to motor connection issue.Check the wire going from switch to motor. It will be burnt or got loose.------- Also click this link for more help:-=-- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/05/driver-side-power-seat-troubleshooting.html ---------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

2010 Lincoln MKS Heated Seat on driver's side stopped working (Light in button turns off on its' own)

The most common cause of this problem is that the drivers seat heater grid is open or burned out. That is based on 25 years as a Ford dealer technician.

I know that an 05 LS has three fuse boxes. One in the engine compartment, one at the inside right kick panel and one in the trunk next to the spare tire. Heated seats in 2007 Lincoln MKX not working. I puch the button to turn them on and they light up for a second then go off. What would be the cause and solution. If it was a major problem would effect...

Help anybody?
I have a 2010 Lincoln MKX with heated and cooled front seats. However, when I try to turn them on (85% of the time) they don't work. Primarily when it's cold the heated seats won't stay on... The light turns on for a fast count of 1-5 and then turns off. This has happened since the car was new and I've had it into the dealer 4 times to have it fixed (with no resolve). In their defense they suggest it's fixed each time because they test the heated seats when the vehicle is warm in the shop. Unfortunately, this is nearly the only time it stays on.
I would love to recommend a suggested fix to the dealer as they don't seem to be able to repair it... Any ideas???

My driver side seat is not heating, The 3 little lights come on for about a minute or two then goes out. The seats were working a month ago. Its a 2006 LS Lincoln, the passenger side works fine. Do you...

Both of the front seat heaters run off of the same 2 fuses, so the problem is not a fuse if the passenger seat is working. Each seat has a separate electronic control module, so a bad driver's seat module could be the problem. The seatalso has 2 elements - onefor the seat cushion and one for the seat back. If one is heating and the other is not, then the problem is probably a failed element. If neither element is heating, then the moduleis most likely at fault. The modules in the seats are controlled by the Body Control module (BCM), so the problem could also be a fault in the class2 data circuit between the BCM and the driver's seat module.

In any case, a scan of your BCM will probably yield a fault code that will lead you in the right direction.

2002 lincoln ls blows cool air on driver side but warm air on passenger side

It is likely that the Coolant Control Valve on your car has failed. This valve is located on the passenger side of the radiator fan shroud near the bottom and has 3 coolant hoses connected to it. This valve regulates interior duct temp by changing the amount of water flow to the heater system.

Power to the heating element has to be verified. Are you familiar with a test light? If power is present then heating wires built in to seat are broken. This can be checked with an ohm meter. Good luck!

Air bag light comes on and stays on. Never any accidents.

Had the same problem, found the wire disconnected under the driver seat (there is a yellow plug and with one red wire, which is fine, and one green wire, which is broken. Fixed the wire, light went off.
