Toyota supra 1987 brake lights wont work , replaced brake switch according to Haynes manual, fusesok new bulbs . I have the interior out to the back . Help

there is a reverse switch on top of the trans where the shift cable is attached. is there power to and through that switch while in reverse? the cyclops light needs the power interruption traced back from the socket to the switch on the brake pedal to find out where you have lost power or possibly taped into brake power at another brake light bulb socket

if fuses are good and bulbs are good,it has bad grounds or the switch is failing,use voltmeter and ck for voltage at the bulb wire connections,if no voltage ck at switch end.if voltage present at switch then ck wiring between switch and bulbs.good luck

Your brake switch is probably broken or has gotten unplugged. Your brakes switch can be found right above your brake pedal... Hope this helps!

Brake light fuse , or burnt out bulb , or switch on brake pedal.
The bulbs have 2 filiments in them , 1 for running lights and 1 for brake lights.

BUY A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL.IT HAS ALL EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR LIGHTS - HEAD LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS DIAGRAM.I SEEN MOST CARS AND TRUCKS THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IF GO BAD YOU WONT HAVE NO BRAKE LIGHTS. ITS SHARE THE SAME CIRCUIT WITH BRAKE LIGHTS .

Check the brake pedal activated switch.

if no brake lights work, it's either the fuse or the brake light switch on the brake pedal

there is a switch located on the brake pedal right at the bend(just behind where your foot touches)
