Question about 1994 GMC Sierra
THE FUEL PUMP MUST BE REMOVED TO CHANGE THE PUMP IN THIS TRUCK, U DO THAT FROM UNDER THE TRUCK OF COURSE, THE PUMP IS HELP IN BY 2 STEEL STRAPS AND THE FILLER NECK, RAISE THE TRUCK UP AND PUT IT ON JACK STANDS, THEN PLACE A HYDRAULIC FLOOR JACK UNDER THE FUEL TANK TO SUPPORT IT, REMOVE THE FILLER NECK FROMTHE TANK,THEN REMOVE THE 2 BOLTS THAT HOLD THE TANK STRAPS IN PLACE, LOWER THE TANK AND REACH UP AND DISCONNECT THE FUEL LINES AND VACUUM LINE AND THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR TO THE PUMP, SLOWLY DROP THE TANK AND WORK IT OUT OF THE SPACE IT RIDES IN, REVERSE THE PROCEDURE TO INSTALL, ALSO REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE CONNECTOR TO THE GAS TANK, THEY ARE A KNOWN PROBLEM AND AREPAIR CONNECTOR OFTEN COMES WITH THE NEW PUMP, INSTALL THAT AS WELL WITH PROPER CRIMPS TO EACH WIRE.
