I have a 2007 chery trailblazer i recently got a recall letter on my headlights and air conditioning but lost the letter and i need to speak someone about this.

There are currently 5 recalls listed for this vehicle. See the web page. There is a phone number there. In addition, you could call your local Chevrolet dealer and mention the specific recall (the recall numbers are on the web page below) and work with them directly. Recalls do not cost you anything.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Check engine light comes on when under 3/4 tank fill it back up and the check engine light shuts off. What could be the problem?

I would first suspect that the gas cap is losing its seal, which happens to take about 1/4 tank of driving perhaps. The fuel tank, like most cars today, works on a closed system with a return and the air above the fuel needs to remain slightly pressurized.

The gas cap was a common problem on the 04 Aveo's; in fact the dealers were fixing them for free then. Tightenning the cap wont imediately turn of the light however because the computer needs to see the engine go through several drive cycle conditions before clearing.

Inpect the cap, the seal and the fuel neck. Perhaps cleaning the cap and seal area if necessary. Look for cracks in the fuel neck. If all looks good and this doesnt work try a new cap either aftermarket or from the dealer.

I am trying to find out what the black box with four plugs next to the engine in my 2004 Chevy Aveo is? It is similar to a distributor cap but book says Aveo does not have a distributor cap?

Does it have large wires which go to the spark plugs? If so in a way it is a distributor cap but not in the same way that the old distributor caps worked. It is an electronic distributor of the spark and is triggered electronically instead of mechanically. Less chance for problems and more precise. It also makes it easier to advance spark and do other things which will get you better gas economy. Let me know if you need anymore help.

My MIL light came on in my 2005 VW Passat. I cheecked the gas cap first. I unscrewed and then screwed it back to make sure it was tight. Since the light didn't go out I went to Auto zone. They said it was...

they just guessed it was a gas cap. gets expensive when you play the guessing game. They are not suppose to sell parts based on codes. Parts stores have been warned against this. It could take up to a month to turn the light off on some cars. If the problem doesnt clear up then you may have another code come up but since the light is on already you wont know it

"check engine light no codes Aveo 2005"

Something that might sound really easy, but please check your gas cap, make sure its on real tight or the rubber seal is still good,if not, get a replacement before you try and get any mechanics to touch your car. It might save your big bucks! All the best and drive safe. Hollywood Harv

Intermittent clock failure

I had to bring my 2004 Aveo to my dealer to have the clock replaced, TWICE!!! Apparently it was a fault with the clock not the fuses. I hope this helps.

Engine light

I doubt the gas cap is related to the light, though hopefully you can get a replacement for it because it can be dangerous. As for the check engine light I'm not sure what it could be. Is the car running making noises, does it stall?? If there are no obvious symptoms, you might need to take it to a mechanic so they can read the error message from the cars computer and determine where th eproblem is.
