SOURCE: The battery on my 2003 Audi A6 keeps dying. I

Sound's like a bad alternator, you can check the alternator by measuring the voltage on the battery when the car is started, it should measure above 12.6 volt's but not higher than 14.5 volt's, check the drive belt tension, a lose or wore drive-belt could cause problem's with the alternator charging the batery, check the battery terminal's for corrosion, along with the connection's of the battery cable's.
Hope this help's, good luck.

REMOVING BATTERY BRACKET

It would be helpful to anyone looking at your request to give a few details! I am assuming that you mean the bracket that is the hold-down bracket either oin the bottom edge of the battery or across the top. If it is a bottom bracket that presses into the groove of the battery, you need along extention with a 3/8 or close to that size socket. Loosten the bolt quite a bit until the battery is able to be wobbled from under its clinch. If it is the bracket across the top the bolts are on the bottom of the two down rods and can be loostened with the 3/8 inch open end wrench until the side rods offer enough play to push the top cross piece over the battery edge.

I have a 2002 audi quatro A4 V6. the battery goes dead overnight - not always, intermittent. new battery. something is drawing power. no check engine light on. under 100,000 miles on the car.

unhook battery positive and install test light in between the post and the cable. if it has a draw it should come on dim. then unplug the fuses one at a time and when you pull the fuse and the light gose out thats the circut with the draw. then refer to what that fuse runs and correct the problem by inspecting that part and repairing as needed.

Something is draining the battery

You have a draw and a draw pulling more than a couple hundred milliamps. This will drain the battery in an objectionably short amount of time.. All the things you mentioned and more can cause this draw. The best diagnostic step towards isolating your draw is with meter that reads Volts DC or better yet a test light.(I think) ..disconnect B+ positive battery cable. Install meter or lamp in series with disconnected cable and battery post. You do have some smal draws like computer memories, clocks etc which will show a low amount of voltage hence a very dim test light. If you are drawing heavy ,obviously the meter will show a full blown 12 volts and the lamp bulb will be very bright. Remove fuses, unplug relays,dis-connect devices while watching the voltage or lamp. You should begin to isolate offending item once the circuit has been detected, Generally pulling all fuses individually will tell you at least which circuit is pulling the amps.

Rear speakers in audi 1999 audi a4

You don't want to fit that - it's the factory amplifier for the rear speakers (the rears are amped, the fronts are not). You need to run new wires from the head unit back to the new rear speakers so that the speaker-level outputs from the new head unit are used to drive the new speakers.
