What this means is that the abs module is seeing a problem in the abs system. This has nothing to do with the regular brakes. What you need to do is get the codes from the abs module and this will help in finding what could be causing the light to come on.When the abs light comes on the regular brakes will work normally but your abs brakes will be disabled.Let me know what codes you find and I can help or explain what the cause could be.Good luck.

How do i turn off the abs light in a 2000 buick lesabre

Do you know why the light is on? The light comes on cause a fault has been detected in your ABS system. Not taking care of the problem will only ensure that the light will come back if reset. Have your vehicle scanned and post your findings. Also look at the wiring for the front wheel bearings if you find any of the wires broken this is most likely why your ABS light is on. Broken abs wires is a common issue.

Look for a bleeder on ABS HCU unit- the one with brake tubing

Drive it & then Bleed again

Have to hear the abs pump come on,check fuse for it

If that doesn't work may have to open the
hcu with an obd1 scan tool & bleed

ABS Traction off and Brake , tire pressure lights are all on on 2001 Buick LaSabre

Good Evening. Your antilock brake system when it has an error or problem will give an error code to the ABS computer, and will also turn on your traction off and brake light. The easiest way to diagnose the problem is contact a local repair garage and see if you can have them scan and read the codes, in most cases it ends up being a hub assembly or low brake fluid (which is something i would check first). However it could be more than that and it is more cost effective to know what is wrong from the code stored in the system. As far as your low tire pressure light that can be reset on your dash by pushing gauge/info until tire pressure comes up and then holding reset until it says reset. There are sensors in your wheels and sometimes fail. Be sure that your tires are all 32-35psi your tires will say on the side as far as recommended psi and if the problem continues your local tire dealer/installers have equipment to check and diagnose these sensors. I hope this helps and you have a good evening.

Transmission Traction "Off" light stays lit with Traction button

The traction control system is controlled through the Anti-lock brake system. The way it works is if one of your wheels starts spinning the ABS applys the brake to that wheel to transfer power to the oppsite wheel that is getting traction. If your ABS is bad then your Traction control won't work. To check it I would find a parking lot on a wet day. In an open space mash in the gas. if you hear the ABS system kick in and you don't squall the tires then your good. My guess is you won't. What I would be worried about is will my ABS work. When checking the traction control is a good time to check the ABS. Acclerate to around 15 mph, then mash the brake as your live depended on it. If you hear a motor run and feel a vibration or grind in the brake peddal, then it works.
