2004 Kia Optima rear-view mirror is vibrating a lot. I want to remove it to put epoxy glue behind it.

they sell a rearview mirror adhesive you apply to the windshield in the spot you want to put it in any parts store carries it...its called rearview mirror adhesive

I think that it has to be given a quarter turn, sort of like changing the bulbs in a headlight assembly

if you can some how manage to get it opened, spray some lubracant on the button inside the door. if not you'll need to replace the release cable.

Knocked rear view mirrow off


if you are talking the rear view mirror on the windscreen then use Loctite 406 or 401 super glue to refit it. care with the glue as it will stick skin together real quick. have a bottle of nail polish remover or acetone on hand in case of accident.

Auto parts stores sell "Rear view mirror adhesive" - special glue for mirrors. TIP: Follow instructions to the T or you'll be doing it over.

you can buy small double sided sticky pads from any auto shop about £2,00 for 2. or use super glue but you will need to use some masking tape to hold it in place while it sets.

How do u seperate the metal plate from the rearview mirror


use a special pad if you can get one or a new mirror ,do not glue it with epoxy type glues because the sun will expand it and then the windscreen will crack ,trust me ,got the teashirt here

Rear view mirror


tHERE IS A KIT THAT THEY SELL AT AUTO ZONE. YOU NEED A BLADE TO REMOVE THE OLD GLUE AND THEN USE THE KIT TO GLUE THE ATTCHMENT TO THE WINDOW. MIRROR SNAPS IN AND OUT OF THE ATTACHMENT

How do I re-install the rear view mirror?


If it goes directly attached to the windshield, you will have to remove a metal piece of metal from the mirror base. This will have to be glued with epoxy glue to the windshield holding it it with tape overnight. After this you can put the mirror back.
