Question about 1995 Ford Windstar
Before you would consider the fuel pump, you should change the filter, and then check the fuel pressure with a gauge, on the fuel rail, near the injectors. You should also check that there is no vacuum or pressure building up in the gas tank, by listening when you open the cap. If there is, then the purge valve is not working right.
There is a long list of possibilities, like EGR valve, timing, etc., with the fuel pump low on the list.
