Check 2 wires coming out of the back of the rotor , could be loose or broken. check both rotors. need to replace the whole rotor because of these two flimsy wires that connects to the abs, awd or traction control sensor. Referring to wires connected to part # 7 which isnt showing in this diagram.

SOURCE: Brakes lock up and traction control light and

from what it sounds like you have a wheel bearing going bad. in GM cars and trucks they have gone to a sealed wheel bearing in the bearing is the abs sensor, if the bearing is going bad it cause that problem. I would have your wheel bearings checked.

How do i get info on any recalls on my 2004 pont aztec & how do i get in contact with somebody about anti-lock & awd problems

Hi! Matt, Most likely if the anti-lock brake light and the awd disable light come on at the same time a wheel bearing / wheel speed sensor assembly is faulty.Listen for a humming noise when driving and try to determine where it is coming from(left/right/front/ back) or any looseness/play in any wheel. That's the possible bearing/wheel speed sensor causing the problem. Or have the abs system scanned to determine which wheel sensor is reading incorrectly. If the awd disable light is off then the awd system should be funtioning.

The anti-lock light is on and it is causing the awd to disable what should I do?

If the ABS is causing the AWD to come on. Scan it and find out which wheel sensor/bearing is bad, replace it. This could happen. Most AWD lights are because the sensor/actuator in the rear axle assembly is bad. A high dollar part.

AWD Disable light came on as well as Anti-lock brake light

the lights going on might also be a warning light for low brakes. if less than 25% remaining the other possibility is sensor issues with anti lock and awd

I have a 2003 buick rendouvs and the change engine oil light keeps coming on even though the oil was changed 2 months ago. I have checked the oil level and it is fine. Any suggestions? Also every once in a...

The procedure for resetting the oil change light is in your owners manual. If you don't have the manual try this. Turn key on (do not start engine) and push the gas pedal to the floorboard 3 times within 5 seconds. Turn key off and restart the truck. Light should be reset now.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztek. The AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights are on and it doesn't want to accelerate? Anyone know or have had this problem?

The AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights can result from a bad wheel bearing as well as a bad speed sensor. They'll also come on if you have the spare tire on. Not sure if the acceleration problem is linked to the warning lights. Most car part stores have scanners they can check out the problem.
