Check the abs sensors their wiring and connections for damage or connection problems if good than need to have truck scanned most auto stores such as auto zone / advanced auto [check ur local area] offer this service for free the code will tell u what and where ur problem is so u can make repair ur abs sensors are tied into the awd system

Check 2 wires coming out of the back of the rotor , could be loose or broken. check both rotors. need to replace the whole rotor because of these two flimsy wires that connects to the abs, awd or traction control sensor. SOURCE: my anti-lock brakes keep kicking
are awd light came on a few day ago...no change in the driving behavior. just had two wheel bearings replace last year. any idea what the awd disable light means now?

from what it sounds like you have a wheel bearing going bad. in GM cars and trucks they have gone to a sealed wheel bearing in the bearing is the abs sensor, if the bearing is going bad it cause that problem. I would have your wheel bearings checked.
