I recommend that you do not add this to your radiator unless it is absolutely needed. It will seal the leak, but also seal other passages, especially in the heater core. It will cause more damage in the long run. If the radiator is leaking, replace the radiator.

I have a 1999 vw Passat v6 2.8L 5v and its not holding coolant. As fast as I dump it in it drains right out. I dont think it could be a freeze plug because the car is off and the thermostat is closed. So...

Possibly a hose or a freeze plug. Yes, the coolant will go into the engine when it is off and the thermostat closed. As you fill the radiator, coolant will go into the engine through the bottom radiator hose. Keep looking-save your coolant and use water till you find where it is leaking. Stick a garden hose into the radiator, turn it on low, then you can see or feel where the leak is.

Where is the radiator on a 99 Chevy Malibu?

Their is no radiator cap that goes directly into radiator. if you do plan on putting barr's leak in it just put it in the coolent tank on the passenger side that is the only way.

Where do i put in radiator leak stop powder

Make sure the engine is cold. Take off the pressure radiator cap and pour in in the radiator. Follow directions on the bottle. Do not pour it in the plastic overflow tank.

that stuff is only a quick fix, pressure test it and fix the leak other wise run the engine so the thermostat opens then just pour it in the reserviour tank if thats what your radiator directly feeds off then take it for a big drive. good luck.

I never recommend anyone pour any stop leak in the radiator of any car. But saying that if you are going to replace the radiator and do not have the money to do so now, then go ahead and use Bar's Stop Leak as an emergency repair. Just make sure to flush the system fully, and replace the thermostat when you do replace the radiator.

Im trying to stop a internal leak on in the cooling system do i pour directly into overflow tank then> Pontiac grand am 99

If you are putting in stop leak then yeah it goes in there because the radiator cap is on the overflow tank. But I wouldn't recommend using stop leak. The engine likely needs new intake manifold gaskets because that is a common problem with that engine. It would be better to just replace the gaskets

I have a 99 Chrysler 300M that had a slight radiator leak...I had put stop leak in it and it seemed to help for awhile. I know that radiator is aluminum & plastic...well yesterday something happened...

If there is other leak other than the one you have found, air may have entered the system. To ensure that it does not get in and that your are filling up the correct amount of water squeeze the radiator hose on top after each fill to squeeze out the air. You can also let the engine run while pouring water one at a time.
