The reset code for your radio is located in the glove compartment. There should be a small sticker on the inside of the compartment door, usually near the left side. The sticker has two sets of numbers printed on it. The number set with five digits is your reset code.

Positive feedback is greatly appreciated.

Good luck and God Bless.

Great advice! Thanks! I replaced my battery the other day and when I went to turn the radio on it wouldn't work because I needed a code to unlock it. I did what you suggested and my radio is now working! =)

Code for radio/cd honda civic 2003

Try to locate the unique code number that will unlock the theft-protected audio system on your 2003 Honda Civic. It probably was imprinted on an anti-theft identification card that you should have received when you acquired the car. The code was printed on a document that came with your owner's manual packet

If you do not have the code, you will need to track down the audio system's serial number. In the case of the 2003 Honda Civic, finding the serial number may require seeking assistance from a Honda dealer. The dealer should be able to determine the audio system's special code number so you can reset the radio. With some newer Honda Civic models, the serial number can be retrieved electronically from the radio.

If you are able to locate the serial number of your 2003 Honda Civic's audio system without a dealer's assistance, you can obtain the special code by going online to the Honda Web site. You must first provide specific information to prove you own the car. For instance, you will need the Civic's vehicle identification number, or VIN, and the audio system's serial number.

When you know what the audio system's special code number is, use the preset buttons on the car radio to punch in the digits. This should reset the audio system, enabling you to resume using the radio and the CD player.

Have you check the mute setting if you have one as well as the balance, fader and volume controls? This seems obvious but I figure it's worth a shot. Good luck!

I need to unlock the radio on my honda civic lx 2003it saids i need to put a code

You do.
Push 1 and 6 and see if it shows on the radio.....otherwise take your radio and car serial# to the dealer for the code for your radio.....and write it down in your cars handbook when you get it.
Also it may be written in your cars handbook by the original selling dealer already.

Can I know the radio code for a honda civic lx 2003

yes you can . first you must have access to the serial number on the radio, which usually requires removing it from the vehicle. when you have the serial number than you can call a Honda dealer near you and give them the serial number and tell them you need the code. this should work for most japanese made vehicles. german made cars require the vehicle vin # instead. hope i was of some help to you.

Assuming it's a stock stereo ,now all you need to do is contact the dealership.
I bought a car that had one of those systems installed once and thats how I got it to work after I changed the battery.
