Question about 1995 Honda Accord

1 Answer

I have a 95 honda accord with the v6. I just replaced the water pump got everything back together, turned over and made a loud noise by the valve cover. Took the timing covers all off and seen behind the cam gear there were 2 sensors that looked like vtech seloinods there aluminum and have 2 wires going to them and have magnets in them. Well one of them got caught im my cam gear and sheared it all to pieces and the other one was hanging. But anyways wat are them sensors? they sit about 8 clock behind the cam gear.

95 honda accord fan blades

with engine off, grab the fan and shake it to see if there is any play in it. sounds like the bearing may have shelled out in it, causing it to drop down at a low rpm, when engine is revved up at higher rpm, centrifugal force lifts it back up.

Front end squeeling noise on 2007 honda accord

could be the power steering pump itself. If it has a bad bearing it will do that. Especially when you turn it makes the steering pump work a lot harder.

Water pump went out on my 96 Honda Accord EX 2.2L VTEC. I replaced timing belt, balancer shaft belt, water pump, both serp belts, and tensioner according to manufacturer specs. Put everything back together...

A bad EGR valve could cause your car to experience hard starting, a rough idle, cruise control surges, popping noises from the exhaust, backfiring and sudden engine stops with cold weather or after deceleration.

Air conditioner makes noises after it starts

I do not think that the battery change and the noise for the a/c is related, probably just a coincidence.

If the a/c makes a loud noise when it is turned up, I would try switching to vent to see if the noise is still there. If it is, then it is the ventilation fan likely located on the firewall or under the dash under some plastic paneling.

There is no reset button for the a/c.

Good luck on this repair.

My car has a leaky water pump and the mechanic said they have to replace the timimg belt as well i have a 1995 honda accord v6 engine with over 200 and something miles

yes, you should have the timing belt changed every 80,000 mi. on a Honda. You got your use out the one from the factory, if that's how long you've owned your car.

A leaky water pump is common on Hondas with that much mileage.

When it rains it pours.

Don't worry, timing belts don't cost that much to replace. really they don't.
