I can not open my 1995 mercury villager

remove the cover inside the tailgate to access the linkage. not a fun job but it can be done

No there is no place to turn the alarm off, if the system is working as designed when you put the key in the ignition and trun to on the alarm should shut off.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE MERCURY DEALERSHIP.SINCE YOUR VECHICLE HAS THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM. THEY HAVE TO SPECIAL MAKE KEYS BEFORE KEY SWITCH AND IGNITION IMMOBILIZER MODULE WILL WORK ALLOWING VECHICLE TO CRANK.

The moveable glass on the hatch opens when you turn the lock with the key clockwise I think. Counterclocwise unlocks the hatch. There was a sticker on the lock when new, probably wore off.

try spraying starting fluid in air intake or throttle body. If it starts, it is a fuel problem. Can you hear ful pump run for 5 seconds when you turn key on? Pump is in tank.

I assume it won't crank. Are you getting power to the small terminal to the starter when someone turns the key? Can you jump power to it and get it to crank? It could be a bad neutral safety switch.

You may need a new compressor.

check/replace the starter relay switch in the relay box under the hood. The relay box is located on the front right of the engine compartment. easy fix, inexpensive part if that is the problem.

try this quick
while trying to turn the key turn the steering wheel back and forth
sometime it binds the key switch
if that doesnt work let me know you have deeper problems
