Sometimes the alarm gets tripped when the battery has been disconnected as the system thinks someone is trying to steal the vehicle when it loses power. Usually if you reconnect the battery [and the alarm sounds] then lock and unlock the drivers door with the key or the remote on the key fob it will reset the alarm and everything will work again. I've had to try a couple of times to get these systems to reset so you may have to do the same. There may also be a procedure listed in your owners manual for this situation so I'd take a look there too. Good luck, hope this helps out!

Car won't start unless jumped off. Can the fuseable link on the postive cable prevent the car from starting?

Difficult to say. If you are connecting the jumper cables to the battery posts, the only thing you are doing is boosting the voltage in the battery.
A mechanic would check for voltage at the battery and the starter to check the cables.

Replace Fuse 27 in main fuse box located under the hood black box in far right corner. Then try reseting your battery. Make sure to follow these steps as follow. Unhook the - then + of the battery. New battery alternator checked car sits a couple of days and the battery dies the car will not start

probally have a draw someplace. If you have a volt meter, you should know how to use it then, check to see what the amps are when the key is off. Unhook postive or negivte batter cable, put one end to the battery and the other to the cable and you'll get your amps. If it's under, 1 I belive you're good. If more, let us know.

1997 f150 will not start...

If it does not have alot of miles check the postive cable running to the starter. Shoulds like the same problem I had, It was the postive cable going to the starter. I made my own postive cable for about $12 new or you can buy it already made for $65 new. Take the old one off and make sure you make it just like the one that came off the truck. If the truck has alot of miles have the starter checked at any parts store.

Battery wont hold a charge, had battery and alternater tested both are good

There are two possibilities here. One the battery could have a short inside, and the other is you have something on the car draining the battery. To learn which it is you unhook the postive battery cable from the battery and leave over night, if the battery is still charged the next morning you have a problem with the car, if the battery is discharged then the battery has a short inside and must be replaced.
