Transmision only shifts into second and third on 2002 trailblazer

I would start by checking the quality of your transmission fluid?. The transmission fluid should be a bright red color. If it appears to be a brownish color then you could possibly have a problem with the clutch pack for first gear. If the fluid is a bright red with no oder other than transmission fluid would normally be, then it could possibly be a bad servo on the transmission. It could also be the seed sensor. Either way it goes the transmission will need to be serviced by a qualified technician. Hope this answers your question.

My daughter has a 92 ford tempo 2.3L automatic that suddenly has no forward or reverse gears. Fluid level is high despite not adding any fluid. Any ideas?

Blocked transmission fluid not circulation through system could be a clogged filter. Might have burned out transmission. Check fluid for a burnt smell and a greyish color to check color whip dipstick on a white paper towel. If grey that is metal shavings and transmission is heavy damage inside

If used other tranny fluid than jeep 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland, would that cause code p0700.p0736 torque converter solinoid

any ATF +4 is ok, so... did you use that?
42RE transmission.
thats water under the bridge now.
sure wrong ATF is wrong, what is the point there/?
the correct fuild is clearly stated in the oper guide and fsm.
ill quote the FSM

MoparT ATF +4, Automatic Transmission Fluid is the recommended fluid for DaimlerChrysler automatic transmissions.
Dexron II fluid IS NOT recommended. Clutch chatter can result from the use of improper fluid.
MoparT ATF +4, Automatic Transmission Fluid when new is red in color. The ATF is dyed red so it can be identified
from other fluids used in the vehicle such as engine oil or antifreeze. The red color is not permanent and is not an
indicator of fluid condition. As the vehicle is driven, the ATF will begin to look darker in color and may eventually
become brown. This is normal. ATF+4 also has a unique odor that may change with age. Consequently, odor and
color cannot be used to indicate the fluid condition or the need for a fluid change.
FLUID ADDITIVES
DaimlerChrysler strongly recommends against the addition of any fluids to the transmission, other than those automatic
transmission fluids listed above. Exceptions to this policy are the use of special dyes to aid in detecting fluid
leaks.

when you buy AFT, it says on rear,
ATF +4
ok for chryrler and jeeps. in clear English, if not do not buy it.

mixing brands can be an issue, that is risky
best is full flush, with one brand, nothing is better,
here is one random example of those words.

Transmission is shift really hard

Check the color of the transmission fluid, dark colored is bad. Overheating could cause the transmission fluid to go bad. Most transmission fluids are red and semi transparent. If the fluid is bad change the fluid, this can fix hard shifts and shudder.

Check transmission fluid

The most common transmission problem on a Nissan pickup is operating the truck with the transmission fluid low. Nissan owners needs to pull the dip-stick and see if the level is low. The fluid level must be checked when the truck engine is idling. Nissan pickup owners also need to look at the color of the fluid and see if it needs to be changed or just leveled off. The color must be transparent and not black or brownish in color. The owner must also smell the transmission fluid to see if the fluid smells burnt. If the transmission fluid smells burnt, then the transmission fluid must be changed as soon as possible. Over-filling the transmission fluid level also creates Nissan pickup transmission problems.

2004 Toyota 4 runner: I tried to drain my oil, but I think I drained my transmission fluid. I drained approx 3 quarts of a reddish dark pink color fluid behind the transmission case with the transmission...

If it was a red colored fluid it was transmission fluid. You need to check that on level ground with the motor running to be sure you get the level correct. Normally you have to pull all of the Pan bolts to drain this but every so often Toyota puts a drain plug on the transmission. Make sure you haven't over filled that.
The engine drain is at the rear of the motor on the bottom. On a side ways mounted engine that is the side toward the firewall and will be a black or brownish color.

I first noticed the transmission would sometimes Slip a bit when switching gears at around 25-30 mph. This was a few weeks ago and it was not an every day problem. A dash light appeared around that same...

IF TRANSMISSION FLUID COLOR IS PINK FULL OF BUBBLES EITHER YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TRANSMISSION FLUID IN TRANSMISSION WHICH CAUSES IT TO CHURN THE FLUID. OR YOU HAVE AIR GETTING IN THE SYSTEM BUT IT SOUND LIKE TORQUE CONVERTER SOLENOID CIRCUIT OPEN NOT ALLOWING TRANSMISSION GO INTO OVER DRIVE.IF YOU SEE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.BEST TO CODE SCAN VECHICLE TO SEE WHAT TROUBLE CODE YOU GETTING.BY TRANSMISSION BEING PCM CONTROLLED BEST TO SCAN BECAUSE TRANSMISSION HAS MANY SHIFT SOLENOIDS.TAKE CAR TO TRANSMISSION SHOP LET THEM CODE SCAN AND CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID COLOR.NORMAL FLUID COLOR WOULD BE RED COLOR.

Transmission maybe?

I would check the transmission fluid and color. Check the fluid with the car parked level and running, in park. The fluid should be a bright red color. You might need to replace the transmission filter and fluid. Grand Cherokees have alot of transmission problems.

Where is the dip stick to the transmission located ? so that I can check the fluid level and also check the coloration of fluid, thanks

If it's a transverse engine(meaning sideways), your transmission cap should be located right on top of the transmission(should be red in color). If i'm not mistaken, these vehicles have a sealed transmission, which means that they have the cap to put the fluid in, but no dipstick on it. That's how they get you to take it to the dealer. Unless you have a car lift to remove the fluid level plug under the transmission it's going to be pretty hard to determine if it needs more fluid or not.
