Some of the codes are located under the dash area at the steering, it will be on a white strip with 5 numbers. This is the master code and after you get this you can change the code to your own. Some are located where the jack is located.

This really needed to be more discriptive on the exact location, i.e. "On the steering shaft." I looked all over the underside of the dash and was not able to find the master code. Also, I looked in shere the jack is located and there was nothing there.

check your manual. sometimes its on the inside cover of the manual. additionally go to "youtube and put in the year of your truck" My expedition code was found on bottom of steering colum. Ford puts the code in various places depending on the year. Some codes are found on passengers side under the glove compartment........"Youtube" is an awesome training tool, try it and I am willing to bet you will find your answer there.

How do i delete original keyless entry code from my 2004 Ford Expedition??...

I assume you are talking about the door unlock/lock pad on the driver's side of the Expedition. If you are talking about the key fob and electric door locks, then you will have to go to the dealer to have your keys programmed as they have the correct equipment to do this. Neither the factory nor dealers want the codes to be made public as any could then make a copy of your car key and, voila, your car vanishes without a trace.

Since we are assuming that you want to change the entry code on the optional external keypad, it is a rather easy chore that only takes a few steps.

First, you will have to locate the original code that was programmed into your keypad. To find the original code, check the owner's manual or the documentation you received with your Expedition, if you still have it. If not, you will have to contact either your dealer's service department or Ford directly. At this time -- before you start reprogramming the code -- it's a good time to sit down and to figure out a new five-digit code and write it down.

Once you have the code, enter it on the keypad and quickly press the 1-2 buttons (you have five seconds).

Next, take the five-digit code you put on paper earlier and enter it one digit at a time. Be sure you have entered the number correctly because your window to enter each figure is only five seconds.

The entry system will respond by unlocking and locking the system. This confirms that the programming has been successful.

Code programming is only one aspect of the car. If you are interested in general auto information or safety-related issues, check

How to reset the door code on a ford expidition

from the owners manual

Programming your own personal entry code

To program your own code:

1. Enter factory set code (keypad will illuminate when pressed).

2. Press 1/2 control within five

seconds of step 1.

3. Enter your personal 5 digit code.

Enter each digit within five seconds

of previous one.

Do not set a code that includes five

of the same number or presents

them in sequential order. Thieves

can easily figure out these types of codes.

Your personal code does not replace the permanent code that the

dealership gave you. You can use either code to unlock your vehicle. If a

second personal code is entered, the module will erase it in favor of the

new code.

If you wish to erase your personal code, use the following instructions:

1. Enter factory set code.

2. Press 1/2 control within five

seconds of step one.

3. Press 7/8 control and 9/0 control

at the same time within five seconds

of step 2.

The system will now only respond
to the factory set code.

Look under the driver's side of the dash. There is a white box that should have the keyless code on it. It is located near the parking brake and fuse box.

Door locks on Ford Expedition stuck

Look under your steering wheel right under the dash. There should be a small white strip with 5 numbers. This is your master code for your vehicle. If you bought the car used and they give you a code, they could have made their own code, but the master will override it. If this don't help, the module for the doors may be going bad.

I forgot the code to unlock the keypad on my 2003 Eddie Bauer Ford Expedition. Can you direct me to a site that gives free instructions to reset.

the only way to get your code is with a dealer computor, Check under hood as code is usually stuck to hood arm and on door frame or in glove box. It will just be a paper with 5 numbers on it. good luck.
