Most probably the fuel pump is not proper,it needs to be replaced. If the pump is already replaced then the fuel pressure is not proper.
Get the fuel pressure checked. If its less then its quite possible that fuel pump needs to be replaced and fuel filter is got clogged.
There are some possibilities which you will have to check in this case:--
1) First of all check the power and voltage to the battery. With meter it will show exact 12 volt if the battery is charged. If the voltage is less get the battery charged at local auto repair shop. If the battery is internally drained and not getting charged then its time to replace the battery.
2) When you crank the car do you see spark coming at the spark plug? If no then its time to check the spark plugs and coil pack. If the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time to check coil pack. The spark plug gets power to spark from coil pack.
3) The other thing to check in this case is the starter solenoid of the car. If the battery is charged and you start the car then it gives power to the starter to start the car. But if starter is faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.
4) The other thing to check in this case is fuel in the car. If there is fuel in the car then check the blockages in the fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the fuel pump.
5) If all the above possibilities mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then it’s a electrical issue and the wiring's in the car needs to be checked. The car gets power from the battery to get started. so the wires from battery needs to be checked one by one.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

all the above mentioned is fine...any other suggestions. it is not battery as it runs when you put gas in the intake. it does have spark....changed the fuel filter. fuel pressure was 55 psi.once the vehicle starts in stays running!!

I have fuel pressure to my injection unit and spark, ive replaced my fuel pump, filter. nothin. it cranks but no start unless i pour fuel into my intake, it starts runs then dies.

If the fuel is poured into the intake and it starts and dies, then it tells me that the fuel injectors may not be firing. This is controlled by the computer.

Do the injectors click when a stethoscope is placed on the injector?

My 2000 GMC Jimmy cranks but wont start unless i try repeatedly or pour fuel into the intake , then it runs fine until i let it sit for hours and then the sameproblem occurs... any ideas info. or know how...

Hi, had same problem with my truck. you need to replace your fuel pump because it no longer holds the pressure in your fuel rail. If you cycle your ignition on and off multiple times(this will cycle the fuel pump relay) with out turning over the engine then start it normally, that is the problem.

Doesn't want to start, acts like it isn't getting

Fuel pump, fuel relay, fuel regualator, fuel injectors, camshaft positioning sensor, fuel filter, etc. Need special tools to diagnose properly, do you have them? Doubtfull, I don't have all of them and I've spent thousands on my tools. I can do a guessing game with you but I prefeer not to lead you astray.
