The vaccumm motors that actuate the mode doors are vaccumm driven.
if at idle all is ok then under accelleration mode doors change then there is a vaccumm leak in the system. look for a steel can (coffee Can) under the hood. trace the vacumm lines from there.

2007 merc grand marquis heater air comes out all of the vents and very little out of the defrost vents

Check to make sure the engine vacuum is getting to the heater/ac control. Bad vacuum hose or leak. Many vehicles use engine vacuum to move heater doors and controls. When the vacuum is absent, it usually defaults to air blowing out the AC vents.

Blender door not working correctly on 2003 grand Marquis. Bows out defrost but not vents. Occasionly out the vents but not often

not blend door, blend door is responsible for mixing hot air from heater core side with cold air from evaporator side of the system. you have a problem with your panel doors it may be an electrical problem with signals from you heater control module or a vacuum problem or you may have damaged components inside your dash. your vehicle will default to defrost setting automatically if there is a problem in the system

What is a blender/ it is suposed to a part of the heater area

The "blender" would refer to the blend actuators that change the flow of air from floor to vent to defrost or combinations. Properly working blend doors will allow you to direct air to the dash vents, the floor, the defroster, the floor and defroster or the floor and dash vents. If it is not working the heater will still work but you will hae no control oer where the air flows.

Air only blows to defrost

The problem is with the blower door actuator. It's vacuum driven and controls the air flow from the defrosters, vents, and floor. With the AC on, open the hood and check the lines (very skinny rubber lines) at the firewall in front of the passenger and work back ward. You're looking/listening for a vacuum leak, either a pinhole or maybe a worn end in need of repair.
