Question about 1998 BMW Z3 Roadster
The dipstick should have two marks on it,one is the full mark & the other is the low or "add oil" mark you should be able to see them when you pull the dipstick out & wipe the oil of it.....hope this helps ......cheers

The hole closest to the end of the dipstick is the ADD line. At this point, the oil is 1 US quart low. The SECOND hole is the FULL line. The shaded area in between the two holes is the "SAFE" area. It is not necessary to add any oil if the oil level is in this area.
