Service Tire Monitor means that one or more of your tires are underinflated, causing an out of balance condition that it can detect through the wheel speed sensors.

The code should be covered in your manual, to tell you how to reset it after the tires are inflated evenly to manufacturer's specifications.

I would check the sizes of all your tires to verify that they are the same type and size recommended by Cadillac. Also, check the tire inflation in all 4 tires to make sure they are even.

Then, follow the instructions in your manual on how to turn the 'Service Tire Monitor' light off.

If you don't have a manual, you might go to the Cadillac.com website and look under 'owners' and you can sign on to Yahoo! and get a free manual downloaded to your computer for viewing or printing, I believe.

It will come back on if the tires are unevenly inflated as you go down the road several miles.

Ford Windstars, also, have this feature. A lot of newer cars past the year 2000 have this feature which helps you to monitor the pressures and avoid getting a flat tire on a long trip.

Good luck travelling in your first Cadillac.

I have 3 Cadillacs at my disposal, a 1976 Seville, a 1990 Deville, and a 1997 Deville Limo and I love all of them, although the 1976 and 1990 need paint jobs here in Pennsylvania's harsh weather.

2006 Pacifica & the (!) light is on and says service tire system soon..1 tire low pressure. I put new tires on it yesterday and the light hasn't gone off. Could it be because I don't have a spare

If you had tires installed and light stayed on it is possible not having spare but normally the tps sensor (tire pressure sensor) or tpm tire pressure monitor or it got damaged when new tires got installed.

Service Tire Monitor

You most likely will need dealer help on this, these older TPMS are not easy to calibrate, it requires a scanner. Next time you need to disconnect the battery use a small charger so the system remains powered up and you don't experience this kind of lost data problem

HAD TIRE ROTATED YESTERDAY TODAY MONITOR TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON I CALLED DEALER THEY SAID THEY RECALIBRATED THEN YESTERDAY & MOST LIKELY THERE IS ASENSOR BAD I THINK ROTATING HAD SOMETHING TO DO...

Sounds like too much of a coincidence to me. They either messed something up or didn't do what they were supposed to do when rotating tires. Talk to the service manager, not the service writer. If the service manager won't take care of it, insist on talking to his boss. Climb up the chain of command until you get the car fixed,at their expense. It wasn't broken when you took it to them. It shouldn't be broken when you get it back.

My service tire monitor came on.what does that mean

That means a sensor has detected either a low pressure situation in one or more of your tires or it is time to replace your tires. In any case, you need to bring your vehicle to a shop, preferrably a tire specialist shop, and have them look at it.

2002 Escclade and that display reads "service tire monitor"

You can see if the dealer can turn the tire monitor system off, but that would be your only hope, or ignore it like everyone else does.
