Actually mr imn2trux you are an idiot and totally stupid the iac and tps are both located on the air box in a dodge neon 2001 and up
they did this so they catch air coming strait from the air filter so what the f*** are you talking about carbon? lmao i know this because i desighned it.

First, does this funny idle happen when the AC is on? If so, try running the engine with the AC off and see if the problen is still there. If the problem is still there, you might need an upper cylinder decarb, if it's a high mileage car. When you replaced the IAC motor, did you notice carbon build up in the air passages? You really need this car hooked up to a monitor to see what's going on with all the sensors, you could throw hundreds of dollars at this car with a hit or miss, a good Mechanic with a monitor will pinpoint the problem for a small fee and you can replace the right part yourself, then happy driving, good luck, Gary

Hi,

2000 neon .... stalls when coming to a stop

Try this procedure for stalls like this.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of spray intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
