Question about Cars & Trucks

Open Question

My 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse has water on the driver's side floorboard and on the rear floorboard (same side). It seems to originate in the front on the floor where your left foot would be if you are sitting in the driver's seat. I have had the sunroof checked drain cleared (so they say) and seals checked (fixed one said that was the problem not). No one can find the problem. I am sick of paying $ to fix things that aren't wrong. What is going on?

How do I find the drain pan for the air conditioner in my 2003 mitsubishi spyder eclipse

Sounds like you have a blocked drain hose that drains the water that runs down your windshield when it rains or you get a carwash. Look under the car right in-line with the bottom of the windshield on the passenger side, you should see a little drainage hole. Stick a coat hanger up the tube to unblock the drainage tube.

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, can't figure out why the heater blows cold air on the drivers side and warm air on the passenger side? A/C works great. I have flushed the heater core and it seems to flow...

There are a couple of possibilites. 1 Is your vehicle equipped with seperate climate controls for the driver and passenger, if so your warm/cold air motor door on the drivers side is malfunctioning. This is located under the dash.2 Your climate controls on your dash are not working properly. Hope this helps.

I have a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse spider, how to change the spart plugs

i'm guessing you're asking because it's a v6 FWD and you don't know how to get to the spark plugs along the firewall. you will need to find the front motor mounts or the anti torque bolts whatever you wanna call it and make your motor swing. you can do that by locating your front motor mounts or side or even rear. i'm not sure with a eclipse but once you've found the anti torque bolts attached to it and removed them you can roll the car forward and it should leave about 6 inches of space behind the engine to get the those spark plugs. front should be easy

I have a 2001 eclipse. Water leaking onto driver side of floorboard. There is so much water it is puddling.I am not sure if it is ac drain or heater core. I can't find ac drain to see if it is clear....

I recently had this repaired. As it turns out, the evaporation reservoir separated from the firewall. I was fortunate enough to have a good mechanic that completely diassembled my dash to locate the leak. He did not make up some lame diagnosis. I was unfortunate enough to have to pay for the extensive work, but it is worth it. He resealed the heater core compartment to allow the water to drain out properly. I spent many hours searching for an answer in the internet. this is the only solution that I know of.
