You need to check fuel pressure carefully. This happens when tank is so full of dirt that the pump screen gets clogged. After sitting down several minutes, some of the dirt settles and the car can be restarted, but happens again. Refrain from starting to change every sensor without knowing what is the real cause, because you could be thowing money and not fixing it. Aldo check pressure regulator is functioning correctly. Hello, it sounds like the timing belt may have slipped on the gears, the top part of the timing cover can be removed to check the timing marks with the engine at TDC.
I had a problem just like that and what it was is that there is a fuel pick up on the fuel pump inside the gas tank. This came off the pump at some point and when it did the engine would stall out when ever I turned left or when I was on the breaks coming to a stop light, and this only happened if I had less than about 6 gallons of gas. I removed the tank and pulled out the pump and found the problem, I replaced it and have not had a problem since. Just to let you know the car was a 1992 Acura Vigor, but it sound like the same problem. I hope this helps.
