How would I remove piece of metal from inside flywheel housing, on 1998 Plymouth grand voyager? Metal was chewed off starter spacer, piece found in flywheel.

If you can't get it out by removing the starter and sheet metal cover on the bellhousing then you will have to pull the transmission.

Low voltage check gages

88 Plymouth Voyager had a voltage regulator built into the power control module... PCM... these go bad and to rectify this issue you have two choices... buy a new PCM or take your vehicle to a specialty alternator/starter shop (a GOOD one) and have the voltage regulator built back into the system... there is a kit for this... can you do it. maybe

NEED TO FIND AND REMOVE STATER FROM 96 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER

I did a google image search for "remove starter voyager" and came up with the attached images. Assuming you have a 3.3 or 3.8 litre engine, the starter is located on the front side of the engine near the radiator, on the battery side of the engine. It's a bit of a pain to get to, but it is do-able. Removing the air intake housing attached to the top of the radiator will be necessary to get to the top bolt. I'm sure I don't have to mention, but I will; remove the negative cable from the battery to prevent accidental shorts when removing power cables from the starter. If you haven't already bought a new starter, you can get contact replacement kits to replace the copper contacts inside the starter. Much cheaper, and it is rather simple to do once you have the starter out.

Need wireing digran for 1996 Plymouth Voyager SE 6 Cyl 3.3L Question ! when replacing Engine Control Module 1996 Plymouth Voyager dies the computer need to re set by auto shop personal? Replaced...

When the ECM is replaced you need to have it reprogrammed. It may run the engine for a bit but there are t many variables to keep it going. Some auto parts stores are doing this now. call around. Much cheaper than a dealer. If you had it reprogrammed then you need to check the codes. This will give a direction to go.

Location of 1996 Plymouth Voyager starter . Is there more involve than just buying a replacement starter and replacing it?

For 3.3 engine, it is a little to the right (seen from outside vehicle) of center between the wheels, just behind the bottom of the radiator. Just popped a new one on a '96 Voyager Rallye in a couple of hours (and I'm no mechanic - had to borrow the tools).
REMEMBER to disconnect the battery cable before you start (unless you want to arc weld something).

Try the autozone.com website. Go there and register. It doesn't cost anything and will give you access to an online repair manual for your van. The procedures for changing the starter can be found there. Hope this helps and best wishes.
