I have an audi A6 Avanti Wagon the horn does not beep once after alarm is set. The indicator on the door does exactly what the mannual says blinks fast fo 30 seconds then slow from then on. Problem is that the alarm goes off for no reason and at various times. Is there a simple solution or do i have to take it to a dealer?

It is not possible to have that reset or turned off "Service Due!" without using a diagnostic scantool connected to the data link connector of the car. This is the only one way to reset service due light on a 2007 Audi A6.

That indicates you need to enter the radio reset code which came with the car. Or see you dealer.

it could be problem with any door lock it is not getting lock or it is not closed properly. please check it with your technician.

should be in your owners manual if you have one. or there should be an options menu through the switch in the instrumnet cluster or through the I-drive if you have one

Most likely your alarm system needs reset. When you use the button to turn the alarm on and off the horn beeps and lights flash. Horn beep when switch turned on, makes sense would be in the alarm system with all you've told.

There will be water in the door microswitches, for the central locking.

This caused the alarms to activate when locked.

remove door panels on both front doors, you will see a little electrical switch near the door lock. remove and check for water ingress.

There is a few things to do check the door switches that control dome lights, check wire down by the skid plate when you get oil changed there is a sensor for the starter there if it is stolen the alarm will go off or just take a BAT and BEAT the living **** out of your horn and call it good like I am going to. You must first erase what's in the memory.
1.) Simultaneously press both buttons 1 and 3 on the Audi's built-in remote. Hold them until the indicator light flashes (20 seconds or longer).
2.) Now hold your garage door remote close to the Audi remote.
3.) Simultaneously press and hold both your garage door remote button and the button you would like programmed. The indicator light will first flash slowly then rapidly.
4.) You may release both buttons once the light flashes rapidly.
