Need a bit more info here ,is the vehicle starting ok?? now look under the bonnet for a fuse box with big heavy fuses in and a couple of relays because i think the problem could be in here like a dodgy contact or a burnt wire connection as it would seem like something is making and breaking contact and this is the most obvious place to look first

My dash lights in my 1997 saturn sl2 wont go on. Why?

Have you tried the dash dimmer switch? Check the owners manual to locate the switch. It should roll up to your desired brightness as it is rolled down to dim it will eventually darken the whole dashboard.

Check battery connections and cables. Ground may be broken. Remove cables and clean battery posts then reconnect cables.
Check ignition switch, replace as needed.

I have a new battery but my car would not start, but passenger real window rolled down by itself and the dash lights would come on and go off with or without the key in the ignition. Does anyone know of...

TRY PUTTING KEY IN IGNITION SWITCH.TURN SWITCH TO RUN POSITION THE IMMOBILIZER WARNING LAMP WILL ILLUMINATE A FEW SECONDS.KEY CODE IS RECOGNIZED.IF IMMOBILIZER WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATES FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN FLASHES RAPIDLY KEY CODE NOT RECOGNIZED.TRY IT AGAIN FROM THE ABOVE INFORMATION.IF CAR STILL WONT CRANK.THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO REPROGRAM IT FOR YOU.

I turn the key in the ignition, dash lights all, 92 grand prix le

Problem number one sounds like a dead battery to me. Problem with driver door is the cable in your window regulator is broken and bound up. Will need to replace the regulator. Passenger side window problem could be caused by a number of things... most common that come to mind are window guide not in correct position or one of the bolts that hold the window to the regulator has come loose.

Windows wont roll down

I suspecft this is a security programming situation. I have something similar going on with my '95. I have to get an owners manual to find the sequences. I stumbled into this by manually locking the front door and turning on the key with the door open.
re: the dash lights. I find if I have the interior light dimmer all the way to the right it locks out some things but moving it back to the middle puts it back in operational mode. aside from the flashing, non playing stero. At least I can drive it and powerlock the doors IF the doors are closed.
