It's totally silly. But there is something in it that does it on purpose. I fixes it by removing all the wires in the back and then plugging them in again

Might try pushing the power button on the radio instead of letting the battery die. Look at the functions of the body control module to see if it controls the radio power. If it does, then replace the module.

Lost power steering, car died, changed battery, and barley made it home. The battery has power, but when you turn the key on the dome light and other lights, radio, windows, etc don't work.

Sounds like the vehicle is not charging you may need a new alternator get the car going with jump leads again and test the voltage at the battery terminals with a DC volt meter expect 13.5-14.5 if you get less than 13.5 your alternator is bad or wiring fault also check the alternator belt is tight.

2003 Acura YL the radio won't shut off even with the key out. Making the battery die. What do I do?

modernradios draw so little power that the battery will not drain over night
there is a bigger problem in a power control module that supplies power to the radio that is draining the battery
key out = battery off and if the battery is still on you will have to get an accredited auto ekectrician familiar with your car to find that control module or relay fault

2000 wrangler just died on me. The horn and lights work but no radio. Have no crank at all when trying to start

The horn and lights are not controlled by the key switch.
It sounds like the switch has failed or you have lost power to it from the battery.
Have you checked the fuses and the key switch with a meter ?

2004 Isuzu Ascender 6 cyl. Battery died, replaced battery, NOTHING inside the cab works now. Power windows, door locks, radio, interior lights, even the ding you usually hear when you leave the keys in...

Did you check the mega fuse in front of the battery? 125 AMP fuse. A lot of times people will jump the battery at that post and blow that fuse. It's bolted on right in front of battery, about 3" long.

My battery died so i replaced it and now my radio won't come on. Tried holding down power button, turning on and off ignition. Still has no power. the battery was out of the car for about 4 hours.

If your radio has anti-theft system you will have to go to the dealer and get the accss code to reactivate the radio if you dont have the code already. GM vehicles with anti-theft radios will lock when power is lost to the system if the radio is not turned off prior to battery disconnect or dying.

Intermitent problems with car not starting. Turn the key and nothing happens. Leave it for a while and it starts. Have replaced the Central Lock Module, Infra red DAS control module and Radio Frequency...

Hmm, have you gotten any 'Check engine' light? It could possibly be the alternator/battery? Have you had them checked? Check the voltage of the battery when the car is not running, then check it while it is running. Or bring it elsewhere to get it checked? I recently had a problem similar to this, with a Van. The alternator was intermittent so it would work and then not sometimes, and just die. It was because the alternator would charge the battery sometimes and then sometimes it didn't and thus slowly wearing down the battery until it died and then after awhile it worked fine again after sitting of course.

2006 I-280. Battery died, replaced the battery

I'll try to help. It sounds like the drivers window motor or drivers window control shorted and killed the battery. If you want to fix it yourself you should take off the negative battery cable before taking off the drivers' door panel.

Then look at the backside of the drivers' window control switch and see if anything is melted. It could have melted the lock button too!

Some vehicles have an electronic menu in the dash or information center. This is where the optionable controls for "honking locks" and "flashing security lights" is programmed. You might have to reset the controls.

If you do not have these fancier features check your fuse panel for burn outs. If you do not want to do it yourself go to a glass shop or dealer.
