2004 nissan quest keeps dying while driving

Hi there, the same issue was mine 2004 nissan quest SL. The engine shutts off while driving. I used the scan tool its name is CanOBD2 Diagnostic Tool from canadian tire and find out that a code P0340 with the message camshaft position sensor circuit (Bank 1 or single sensor) needs to be changed which i did. I went to dealership and the part price was canadian $101 dollars. I also asked the dealership for the diagram where to be fixed/to change the old sensor with the new one. He also printed out and let me understand the position of that map for this sensor. I did at my own and opened the air fiilter hoses, and all the intake hoses and its on the left side of the air intake hose mechanism. You can use key #10 to unscrew only one bolt and its easy to open and take it off and instlal the new one with the same position as the old one. And put all other stuff back which u opened and just run the venicle take a half hour trip on highway and there will be no more check engine light and other lights stays on your dashboard and no shutting off of vehicle while driving. I changed new sensor and its running perfect. You can also investigage more about this as i personally did and find out with the help of this scan tool above mentioned code is the issue for shutting off of engine while driving. My dear just do more research about above mentioned code and you will do it yourself like i did and saved not only diagnositc charges about $150/- but also saved the labour charges. Good luck.

My van has started hesitating when at a stop light or a complete stop what can cause this to happen

Check your air filter and your fuel filter first. If it only happens when you stop, it could be a clogged fuel filter. You can also check your engine for vaccum leaks. A simple leak can make your car act like it has major damage.

My minivan will not pass inspection. I put over 2k in repairs but since the "low wiper fluid" light wont shut off my mechanic will not pass it for inspection. EVERYTHING in the car is up and running. All...

I assume you changed the sensor in the wiper fluid tank. The plug-in could be making poor contact with the sensor so try moving it on the sensor to see if that will put it out. If it does then change the plug-in. Try unplugging it and see if the light goes out. You could also try a jumper wire between the terminal ends. That may turn it off. If not then trace the wire harness for the wiper fluid sensor looking for a bare spot in the insulation on one or both of the wires. Tape up the bare spots. Hope this helps.

"Service Engine Soon" light flashing 2001 Nissan Quest

You may need to take it to a professional. Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. The list of possible codes number in the hundreds. The code itself doesn't tell exactly what component is defective - it only indicates where to look, or what engine parameter is out of normal range. A technician will have to perform further testing to pinpoint cause and the proper repair. He will have the special equipment to check for emission problems. Even if you reset the light, if the underlying problem is not addressed it will come back on.
