Question about 2004 Chevrolet Silverado
The check engine light is on. i dont know how to access the codes or know what they mean
Go to your local autozone or advance auto. They will scan the codes for you. Write down the codes, then google them. The OBD-II codes are based on a universal chart, with only a few exceptions. You can also post back here, and someone here will teach you what each code you encounter means, and suggest solutions to take care of the issues.
