My 94 929 mazda won't start

My car ran hot yesterday and I put water in it and let it sit over night. This morning it took 15 min to run hot and cut off like 5 times. When it did start back up after sitting for 45 min it was still hot and i drove it on the interstate. It cut off again and wouldn't start back up. After 10 hours it still won't start up it's only making this whining noise. What's wrong with it?

I gather that your radiator is draining off the water after it is running hot. If this is exceeding 80 degrees and you have steam coming then check if your radiator cap is defective. If there is low water level after parking then checek if there is a leak on your radiator, hose or fitttings. Now to come to the real issue of the engine not responding when hot could be related mainly with either the fuel or the spark. When the engine fails to start check from the fuel pump if fuel is flowing, if not check your filter and fuel pump diaphram/ fuel pump for failure. Replace and proceed. next if the fault stays, then check on your spark, failue of the HT coils on heating, contacts and plugs. replace and check. If all these are fine check your engine for compression, oil smear , smoking . Do this in an order for elimination. I hope this helps you. Good day

You probably have a blown head gasket, not allowing you to get enough compression built to start the engine.

Rent a compression tester from AutoZone (You get your money back when you take it back) and use it. If the compression on each cylinder is less than 100 PSI, you've got some issues. The cylinders should also be somewhat balanced.

Mazda wont start, brand new battery

sounds like you have a failing ecu. the capacitors in the ecu are worn out. there has been a lot of problems with the ecu on mazda's over the years, only take one out put overload from the alternator and the ecu starts playing up. no codes come up as it don't code its self. having the battery off is like a reset.

After washing engine on 2006 mustang gt codes p2104 p2111

P2104 is your throttle actuator. Probably wet the sensor. Try drying out with a hair dryer. P2111 is also a throttle code. Overnight the water has condensed and is affecting throttle position sensor.

I have a 2000 pontiac Bonneville sle and it was running fine it stalled yesterday on me n after a bit started back up and ran fine the rest of the night, This morning It started fine and then 15 mins...

I had the same problem with my 2000 Bonneville SLE and I replaced the crank shaft sensor and it solved the problem. The crank shaft sensor is located behind the harmonic balancer. You have to take the balancer off to get to the part. You will need a puller to get it off. You will also have to take the fly wheel cover off and hold the fly wheel when you remove the nut from the front of balancer.

After sitting that long replace thermostat and refill with new coolant. Also make sure waterpump is turning when car is running. A glazed belt or seized waterpump is a possibility.

The car has ben sitting for several months with little fuel in the tank. it has now been driven for several days putting only the minimum amount of gas neccesary to run. Yesterday it cut off in traffic...

try using a fuel additive in at max strength, could be just moisture in tank...then give it some high speed/max load driving for about 15/20 mins.....

Water pump

Fill the radiator completely with coolant mixture. Let the engine warm up 10 to 15 mins. Is the upper radiator hose warm? If yes, then the water pump and thermostat are good. If all this works, then the leak is somewhere else. Hope this helps.
