There is no bleeding proceedure required. with fuel in the tank when the pump starts running it creates pressure in the system and when you crank the engine the injectors purge the air in the system out. you may have burned up the fuel pump.

My 2006 hyundai santa fe 6 cylinder ran out of gas and now wont start.hionow do i unlock the fuel injection air lock

Fuel injection is self bleeding, so that is not the problem, it is my guess you burned out the in fuel tank fuel pump. The tiny pump depends on the cool gas to lubricate and cool itself, so running out of gas can very quickly destroy the fuel pump.

2009 chevy aveo ran out of gas now it wont crank

No crank to a mechanic means the starter motor doesn't spin the engine over, is this what you mean? Or do you mean the engine cranks over but will not fire up and run? If it is the latter have you added at least 3 gallons of gas to the tank to make sure the electric fuel pump inside the tank can properly prime? If not do that, also you can spray starting fluid into the engine engine air intake pipe after adding the 3 gallons and see if that gets it going. If it still will not start you have burned up the fuel pump and you will need to drop the fuel tank and replace the pump, remember the pump is cooled and lubricated by the gasoline it runs in, so when you run low on fuel or out you can very quickly severely damage the small electric fuel pump. Never let the gas gauge level go below 1/8 tank to prevent premature fuel pump failure.

Ran out of gas.. that nite below feezin temps. car froze. allowed car to thaw. added gas... wont start. no oil leak. no water in oil. was pushed out of road wen car ran out of gas.. is there a fuel reset...

No ressting to do. You need to remove all air from the fuel lines. Running out of gas in any fuel injected vehicle is a big no no for it is so expensive to get back running right. Add 5 gallons of fuel to get good priming pressure first of all
Turn the ignition key on for 5 secondes and turn it off for ten secocds. Do this step 5 time to bring up fuel pressure to the engine
Next try and start it
If it does not start release the air pressurized in the fuel line at the fuel rail above the engine. It looks like a tire air fill valve. Use a rag to catch the gas that spews out as you bleed the air out
Now turn the igition key on and off again for 5 times as stated above and proceed to start the engine once more
Good luck

Honda passport ran out of gas. now won't start. Could be gas filter?Put 5 gals of gas in tank. Will start with gas added to air flter intake, but won't stay running

It's possible that you have an air bubble in the fuel line. This blocks fuel from reaching the engine. To clear it, you will have to bleed the line at the fuel filter.

The other possibility is that the fuel pump is not working. Turn the ignition key to the on position. You should be able to hear the fuel pump humming. If not, check the fuel pump fuse, in the fusebox under the hood. If the fuse is ok, you will need to trouble-shoot the pump.

I run out of gas put 5 gl back in now it wont turn over

By "TURN OVER" do you mean CRANKING or STARTING because in my nomenclature these are two very differnt things. If you mean it "CRANKS" but will not "START" after adding fuel ....have someone listen for fuel pump at filler opening, easy to hear for 5-6 secs. after turning key to ON position. If you hear pump "WHIRRING" are you sure running out of gas is what stopped your vehicle from running 'cause adding fuel ,....... and not cranking over are so completely unrelated I don't know where to start unless maybe you had a diesel motor and added gasoline

My 97 cadillac deville wont start right away it wants to spit and sputer then after a few min it will start then it seems to run fine what is the problem? I turn the key on and the fuel pump runs. I let it...

There are a number of think's that could cause this . wont start right away when ? First start of the day ,anytime ? Testing would have to be done to know for sure . IF it seams to run fine after it does start ,it would be a fuel pump or filter problem . More then like a fuel management system sensor problem . mass air flow sensor comes to mind . But having a qualified repair Tech . looking at scan data on a professional type scan tool Should be the thing to do.

when u run out of gas the fuel pump is severely overheated, this causes the pump to seize up. I M 100 % SURE OF THIS BEING THE PROBLEM.
