Make sure your key is on, look at the wires on your starter, figure out which one is pos. and which is ground. take a set of jumper cables and connect bat.pos. to starter pos. and then neg to neg basicly bypass starter sylanoid ..or easier way ..pull starter and take it to advance or orielly s and have em test it

2005 GMC Envoy XL. Will not engage starter. Like something electrical. Turn key and nothing. Worked fine until now.

Could be the neutral safety switch if it won't crank in neutral or park, could also be the starter has failed.

How does car alarm disabble start condition when activated?

When you turn the key to the run position the pump only cycles for about 2 seconds so put a multi meter to the pump wires & have someone turn the key do not use the car as a ground in case the ground is bad if still no power check at the computer.

2002 galant no start whining noise from starter

Sounds like a bad starter. Just an idea It is a poor idea to let someone work on your car if that person does not know what they are doing. My thought is your friend ran the starter a lot and burnt something out.

BMW 316 TI not starting

you did not mention if you car is auto or manual trans but try to jump start with a good battery first, then if doesnt work, use a long metal bar or wood that can rich the starter motor and try to knock it gentle while someone starting the the engine. if the engine start, most likely your starter motor needs to be repleced. but if not then you have to check the starter relay and other things that related to starting system.

05 cobalt not remote starting

It would be a good idea if you told what brand remote starting system you are trying to use and maybe provide a link to a wiring diagram, so maybe someone can help. Most of these companies have a tech hotline, give then a call.

My sunfire GT will randomly not start. I never know when it is not going to start. When it randomly doesn't start i get someone to help and give me a boost. As soon as it starts up, the car will run...

you need to get your starter checked or just replace the the starter solenoid or starter brush holder assembly.the signal light thing may be due to a high resistance in the wire ends that bolt to the starter solenoid.either way you need to check out the starter and the wireing to it.

1995 honda accord won't start

Sounds either like the solenoid on the starter is bad or the starter its self.First try turning on your head lights and then trying to start it.If it starts then you have some bad connections either on the battery or the starter. next if that doesnt work Try hitting the starter with a hammer while someone else cranks it.If it starts then the starter is bad..

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at
