P0440-Evaporator Emissions Control Malfunction. P0522- Engine Oil pressure low. Replace the Gas cap and double check your engine oil level to make sure your not low. Reset the computer and see if the codes return. If your oil level is good when you check it you may have a problem with your oil pump.

Hi Michael: here you have two diagrams...

11_7_2011_10_28_45_pm.gif

DTC P0440 code indicates that a part of the EVAP control system is no longer fuctioning correctly. The EVAP system consists of many parts, including (but not limited to) the gas cap, fuel lines, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.
A code P0440 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
  • The gas cap is not installed or working properly
  • The purge solenoid has failed
  • The canister is plugged and not working properly
Additional details could find in this links Fault Codes on Cars & Trucks or other diagrams in Cars & Trucks Vacuum Diagram.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

there appears to be a problem with your crank position sensor and your oil pressure switch.

  • The crank position sensor or its connection is probably at fault. The engine needs the signal that the crank postion sensor provides to inject fuel and supply spark at the correct time.

P0440 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System, this code is most often caused by leaving the gas cap loose, or off.
