2003 nissan frontier dash lights quit working. could it be the dimmer switch? all fuses were good.

did so battery not pulled (neg lug)
blew out fuses
or wired it up dead wrong
dimmer knob for dash set low. wrong.

Fuse 4 for audio. BCM probably does mirrors as well.

if not fuses

they are two different systems

dash lights have a switch

cruise control could be the cruze switch itself or
a electronic cruze system or vacuum faulty units can be replaced

Both are separate fuses, check them first. Dash lights are controlled threw the dimmer switch. Park lights threw the turn signal switch. If you have front marker lights, then the rear is a ground problem. Ground is at the body, in the back, on the drivers side. If no marker lights at all , replace the turn signal switch. If the fuse is good for the dash, replace the dimmer switch.

Probably a bad dimmer switch, common problem with Nissans. I had to replace one on my 2004 Frontier. Cost around $60 at the dealer.

The dash lights run thru the headlight switch and there are 3 fuses for the lighting switch. All are 15amp according to the diagram.
It doesn't tell me where they are. That should have been in the owners manual.

look in the fuse box and find the fuse marked gauges. if it has a breaker instead of a fuse there will be a small black reset button on the top of what looks like a silver fuse.just push the button to reset and check your lights or replace the fuse with the same type. also check to see if your dash light dimmer switch is working properly.

I had to replace my dimmer switch when this happened to me even though I thought my dimmer switch was fine

Check instrument panel fuse first. It would be labled on the fuse door or in manual. If not blown i would suspect the dimmer switch. There are to many bulbs in a instrument panel for them all to blow at one time.
