PO300 Random/Multiple cylinder misfire

This indicates to me that the O2 sensor might be giving you a problem.
But, anything that causes a random misfire could be the culprit.
In your case you did the appropriate thing changing the crank sensor.
Maybe the crank sensor is not the right distance from the reluctor wheel and doesn't pick up movement accurately, causing the random misfire across several cylinders.

Previously,
po339 engine speed sensor
P0315 & MIL flashes 11 times - no spark

I hope this points you in the right direction.

Hi,

P0300
is a random misfire code.
Many things can cause engine to miss. Yes coolant in cylinder, bad spark plug, bad plug wire, bad compression, bad intake or exhaust valve, bad fuel injector, and vacuum leaks are a few reasons for a missfire. If the repair shop you went to is a good reputable facility, I would definably take the truck there, they should without hesitation repair your engine as most likely you screwed something up.Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

    Thanks for your response!!

This is a generic code. No mechanic in the world could tell you a specific problem related with misfire. You are welcome to have opinions from other experts as well.

    Thanks and Regards

I have a 2007 jeep patriot. It stalled at stop sign started ran rough. Parked came back drove it home ran u- scan code p0017 replaced crank and cam sensors still runs rough changed plugs were bad. I was...

code p0017 refers to crank/ cam oosition sensor bank 1 sensor B -correlation ===causes --wiring--CKP sensor--CMP sensor--mechanical fault.
It also refers to control modules, cooling fan--no signal===causes -- wiring--ECM.
If it has a timing chain then the the advice that it will not be the chain is good. So I suggest checking out the cam/ crank sensors and wiring

Diagnostic codes

Code 16 is for a problem with the timing between the cam and crank sensors, and code 339 is for a problem with the circuit for the crank sensor.
I would recommend checking the crank sensor and circuit back to the computer first.

2006 chevy aveo check engine light (code # p0315)

I took it in to a different mechanic and am told that the car will not "learn" the cps. It will clear the CEL but as soon as the key is put in the ignition it comes back on He suggested putting in the original crank sensor but that one is cracked so do I need to get an ac/delco or gm sensor instead of what I got from autozone or how do I get it to recognize the sensor we put in?

We did check the fuses and that is not the problem.
