The 1998 Dodge Caravan ac should be charged at the low pressure service port. This port is located on the suction line near the compressor. The suction line can be identified by it's size, it being the larger of the two line connected to the compressor. You must purchase a recharge kit at your local part store, which should include charging hose with pressure gauge and a can of R134a freon. Gloves and eye protection should be worn during servicing.(freon can freeze your eyes and cause frost bite to your hands). Connect freon to charging hose, connect charging hose to low pressure service port, open valves and start engine, turn on ac. If compressor won't start it may be required to disconnect the low pressure switch and jump out the connector.

Hello. I did a radiator swap on my Fiances 06 Hyundai Elantra. I noticed that where the transmission lines typically connect in/out there was a jumper in place instead. In other words the transmission...

indicates that the transmission cooler in the radiator was faulty allowing transmission oil into the cooling system with a new radiator it can be reconnected correctly
however as auto transmissions run better and last longer with cooler oil ,I suggest that you consider an external air to air cooler that has ambient air cooling the oil rather than hot coolant in the radiator
discuss the advantages with an accredited transmission shop
IT can be expensive initially but the reduced engine operation temperature and the cooler oil will extend engine performance and transmission life

T5 is no power jerking and black smoke

Is it a TDI? if so you may have fuel issues or possibly a turbo issue check and make sure all your hose connections from your turbo to the air to air cooler and air cooler to engine are hooked up also make sure there are no holes or cracks in your air to air cooler. check your air filter. Black smoke indicates you ar buring fuel too much fuel not enouph air in the combustion chamber.

Where does one investigate oil consumption in a 1.8 liter turbo engine in a 2001 vw golf using 1-quart every 50 to 100 miles driven, no tail pipe smoke and no leakes on drive way when parked overnight. I...

If you don't drive this little beast hard the oil could be migrating to the charge pipes and inter cooler.

Usually the turbo is likely culprit when oil consumption reaches those levels. Pull the spark plugs to see if the tips are loading up with carbon deposits.

You can pull the lower hose of the inter cooler...drivers side under the bumper....and see if oil pours out. If so the turbo is shot.

Another way oil is consumed is valve stem seals allowing oil down the intake valve guides. Cure is a set of valve stem seals.

Does my 2002 S80 Volvo have turbo or not?

is this a t6? if so yes. turbocharged engines have more horsepower than naturally asprirated engines, a turbo charger works like a supercharger by forcing more air into the intake, while a super charger is usually belt driven a turbocharger is exhaust driven, it will be located in the exhaust pipe or exhaust manifold and is turned by exhaust gases passing thu with the opposite side connected to the air intake pipeing, some have the intake air piped thru a intercooler which is mounted in front of the radiator(cooler air is more horsepower)
type 2002 s80 volvo in your search bar and you can find a ton of info
