The ignition switch is not under the hood, it's in the car, sit right in back of the ignition key.

Mazda 3 wiper relay

Do you have your manual. There is fuse under the hood an some inside. According to Mazda there was a recall on some cars wiper motor. The passenger junction box is where the wiper relay is connected on the schematic. R25 and R26. Switch the relays around on the board and see if you can find a good one and the bad one, this sometimes helps, I found a couple of relays on a K car once just chattering away. I believe this box is under the hood. Also you may not have a relay problem. There is a sensor of some cars on the outside mirror, that senses rain and turns on the wipers. It has been know to go out frequently. an cause this problem. Inside fuse boxes are under the driver dash some verh hard to get at others on the glove box side inside glove box and some in kick panel. Never worked on Mazda but call a garage taht works on foriegn cars. They will know for sure.

Possible causes are the starter, starter solenoid, battery, battery cables, neutral safety switch, and ignition switch.
The starter is mounted on the engine where the engine and transmission connect.
A mechanic would check the small wire on the solenoid for voltage when you turn the key to start.

92 Mazda Navajo a/c comes out defroster and floor vents only, doesnt matter where the selector switch is set. Help!!

It's most likely a vacuum line, look under your hood (close to the cowl panel) for a disconnected, cracked or broken vacuum line.

In some rear cases, it could be the vacuum switch (in dash). Or vacuum diaphragm (under dash).

Hope this helps you ???

If the clicking sound is coming from the engine bay, from the relay, you may want to have the starter itself checked out. You need to check if the ground cable from the engine to the chassis is secured. If that is OK, you may want to have the starter motor checked.
