Tring 2 find the firing diagram 4 a 2004 lincoln ls 3.9 v8 the ignition D coil pack needs 2 be replaced on my lincoln not sure witch cyclender is D

There is no cylinder D on an LS

You may have a code for that, but half the
codes you get on a misfire, you disregard

1,2,3,4, Pass

5,6,7,8 Driver

Front to back

Cylinder #4 is a PO 304 ,you can pretend it is D if you like

D on other Ford Products

Not all cylinder codes mean that the coil is bad

You get all sorts of codes & sometimes have to walk a coil
until you get to the bad one.

How do you change an ignition coil on a 2003 lincoln ls

Remove the coil covers on top of the valve covers-to get to the COP-Ignition Coils. I believe you need a 7mm socket and 7mm small wrench. You need a PO301 to PO308 code- for a bad coil. Their about $60.00 at auto part store. Just do the one that fails.

Cylinder #1 is front of vehicle/pass side. 1 thru 3or4
Cylinder #4or5 to 6or8 on driver side.
