The low pressure switch is located on the accumulater it's a safety switch that detects freon in the accumulater. if there is no freon the switch will open and keep power from engaging clutch on compressor..

My 1998 Chevrolet Silverado will not take freon but the air condition does not blow cold air

Not enough info.with the compressor running and the charge line on the low pressure service port( the big line)it should charge. Be sure the compressor is running. If it's not: There is a low pressure switch in the big line. to check it disconnect the 2 wire connector, use a paper clip to jump between the 2 wires. If the compressor runs either the switch is bad or the pressure is not getting into the system at the fill port

Ac pressure switch cycling

The low pressure switch is usually on the low pressure line or the accumulator, and the high pressure switch is on the high line or the back of the compressor.

1999 chevy K1500, A/C system works intermittently. Seems to be electrical, because when compressor runs, air is cold. How best to diagnose?

Start wiggling connections. Clutch, low pressure cyling switch, high pressure cut off switch, etc..
I had an intermitent working a/c on my 89 Camaro. First thing I wiggled was the cycling switch on the dryer and that turned out to be where it was. It was not the connector though but the switch itself.

A/c does not stop blowing hot air? system has freion but doesnt blow cold.

I would first check the low pressure cycling switch. Next the compressor clutch. I am assiming you already checked the fuses. I hope this helps.

Changed oil pressure switch, still no oil pressure

The fuel pump on that model runs through the oil pressure switch so that if the truck looses oil pressure,It kills power to the fuel pump to prevent engine damage.you need to find the cause of the low oil pressure reading(possibly a bad oil switch). That would be the cheapest place to start,or have it checked with a mechanical gauge.Good luck,
