I had this happen before......Have you checked the fuses? If good I remember the wiring going thru the turn signal switch and replacing it solved the problem.

The main brake lights don't work on my 2002 Freelander. The center brake light does work as well as the tail lights when the lights are on. The bulbs are good and and the fuses are good. What should I...

That is NORMAL -- just found out myself. ONLY- the center light and the lower (bumper) lights are your brake lights. The main lights are ONLY used for running lights.... Got to luv it!

quite a few people have this problem ,it would appear that the problem lies in the connection plug where the lights wiring connects to the chassis loom.normally a quick clean and grease of the connections works wonders

2004 Landrover Freelander stop/reverse light fuse keeps blowing

I had a persistent problem of hill light warning and TCS warning lights coming on for no apparent reason. There is a wire connection between the stop light switch and the control unit to let the system know when brakes are being applied. Changing the stop light switch cured it. The replaced switch was certainly sticking and the new one was of a different design. Replaced it myself as switch comes with a wiring loom. Need to get on your back under the steering wheel! Not very expensive. My car 2001 TD4

2007 Land Rover Brake lights went out

I have not seen these yet but a DII or Freelander there should be a push tab on the back side of the light in the bumper. I suggest crawling underneath and looking at the underside where they mount and see if there is a push tab on one side of the light that you would push inward (toward the light) to release that side of the light. If not, look for a screw or nut. Hope this helps.
