Most batteries have just 2 terminals +ve (Red) and -ve (Black). Modern cars tend to have a -ve earth.

Normally -ve to black and ground +ve to read and HT system.

Replaced battery on a 2005 land rover ls3. Now it cracks but wont start. Do ypu think it is the inertia switch?and if so then where is the inertia switch on a 2005 land rover ls3?

Why would it be the inertia switch? Did you hit something?

Check the computer for codes 1st. You don't want to be spending money you don't have to.

Are you sure you are getting gas / spark / air? With out these 3 basic components, you will not fire the engine? Did you check all your fuses incase you blew one when re-installing the battery?

The proper way to remove a battery from a NORMAL car is to remove the NEG cable first then the POS. The re-install is reverse, on the new battery place the POS cable on first then the NEG cable. If you did not do this, you may have caused a spark and a surge in the electrical system causing a fuse to blow out. I hope for your sake IF you hooked it up wrong that you did not blow the ECU / ECM.

I replaced the battery terminal cable ends. Now the car will not start, There is a clicking noise from the starter.

Bad connection on cable ends or where they connect to battery. Quick check is if you have a good set of jumper cables, use the jumper cable as a replacement for what maybe the defective one. Hook negative cable good to battery neg. post and then put other side on neg cable to engine ground on block. See if it cranks, if it does than the trouble is on the neg. cable. If not then put positive cable on pos. post of battery. Then put other side of pos. cable on the starter post, try to start. If it cranks then the trouble is on the pos side of cable. Hope this helps.

Does the neg. battery cable hook to the starter on a 1996 mercury villager? or some where else?

Yes the neg cable is grounded at the starter bolts and also at the frame.
Do you have power coming from the starter relay down to the starter solenoid with the key switch in the start position ?
Do you have headlights when you try to crank the engine ?
Have you tried cranking it in neutral ?

If battery is new, and altenator test good which would mean your battery is getting charged, then check the igntion wire that goes to the solenoid. They can get loose, broken, or dirty connections.
Check your battery cable connections on battery and on starter and ground to make sure they are very clean as well as tight.

The car lose the batery charge in one night and if I retired the B2 fuse the batery is ok I need the fuse diagram to try resolve the problem.

You need to look up the b2 fuse in your owners manual and find out every thing that it runs. With a test light hooked to the ground post of your battery and the pointer hooked to your cable, remove the negative cable from the battery.Start unplugging the components that the fuse protects and when you get to the problem the light will go out.

1996 4.0 Range Rover won't unlock

This car is in super lock mode... when you press remote 2times to lock or when you lock with remote and try to unlock using key manually.

there is a 4 digit number to open the door, its like opening a safe, starting from the left(key in car door) it goes L/R/L/R. so if number code is 1234..... left 1, right 2, left 3, right 4.

or if this too troublesome you can ask landrover dealer to remove the KEYCODE.

happy trying.....
