I would suggest replacing the blower motor resistor. When this component fails the blower will only work on one spped or none. This is a very common issue with all automotive models

SOURCE: low beam headlights not working on 2004 Pontiac Montana extended

You headlight lamp have a diffuser mechanism which allows it to flip between the hight beam and low beam feature of the bulb. In fact, you high beam will function even if the low beam is not working.

I would recommend the purchase of the new headlight lamp. It would cost you you any where from $15.00 per unit to get a replacement lamp

That is correct, the air blend door actuator. "flapper valve" may need to be replaced or cleaned and free from binding up. Good luck and hope this helps. If there is an Auto Zone in your area, they can order the part you need and give you the step by step instructions to removing the old actuator and replacing it if it's damaged. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Montana, No Heat, I put the temp control on

the cabel from the heat dial to the heater box behind the dash could be snaped or jamed thus not opperating the lever which operates the flap which open and closes the heat box next to the matrix. or if your coolant is brown in colour it could be your matrix is clogged with sedament and needs flushing out. or it could be your water pump not pumping coolant round your engine or it could be a knackerd thermostat i hope these will help you id start with the easyest first thermostat

Do the A/C pipes going in through the fire wall get cold ( icy) ? Temp blend dood actuator possibly .Does it have A/C system in the back as well ? Auxiliary - does it get cold ?

Air Temperature Actuator
The air temperature actuator is a 3 wire bi-directional electric motor. Ignition 3 voltage, ground and control circuits enable the actuator to operate. The control circuit uses a 0-12 volt linear-ramped signal to command the actuator movement. The 0 and 12 volt control values represent the opposite limits of the actuator range of motion. The values in between 0-12 volts correspond to the positions between the limits.
When the HVAC control module sets a commanded, or targeted, value, the control signal is set to a value between 0-12 volts. The actuator shaft rotates until the commanded position is reached. The module will maintain the control value until a new commanded value is needed.

The cabin heater has not been working for a couple of weeks (it used to blow some hot air but now no hot air) and now the car overheats at idle. Can you suggest a solution or a part to check?

first thing, change the thermostat. this should fix the overheating problem. Your hot coolant goes from the engine to the radiator core, then back to the engine. If your thermostat is stuck shut, you will overheat. try this first, and let me know, If you still have problems, We will get it fixed. hope this helps

2004 Pontiac Montana blows cold air in defrost

There is a mix damper inside your duct that controls the heat over heater core and ac evaporator that to your floor and one to your defrost. it is probable an electric actuator, that is not functioning properly. If yu can locate it and manually move it, you might have to remove the actuator motor first, you should be able to figure out your problem, I hope this helps! merry Christmas!
