Fix for the door glass,2009 CHALLENGER. Won't reset to down position when opening door to allow window to break seal.Then move up and seal glass when door is closed. SMart Glass?

This may be as simple as relearning the window stop positions. Perform the following procedure to relearn the windows;

1) Sit in the drivers seat and ensure both doors are fully closed.
2) Turn the key to the ON position but do not start the vehicle.
3) Pull up on the drivers window switch until the window reaches the full up position, then CONTINUE HOLDING THE SWITCH UP for 2-5 seconds, then release the switch.
4) Push down on the drivers window switch until the window fully opens, then CONTINUE HOLDING THE SWITCH DOWN for 2-5 seconds, then release the switch.
5) Repeat steps 1-4 for the passenger window.
6) Close both windows and check the operation of the smart glass.

Let me know if you need further help.

Right rear window does not work

All power originates/passes through the master control switch on the drivers door panel. Start by popping the drivers switch and with key on check power going to & through the master switch especially the switch that raises/lowers the window in question. Surely you've done checked the fuses and or relays? Hope this helps.

Toyota corolla side window

The driver switch is called the master switch. When replacing this unit you need to perform what's called a ( relearn ). Turn the ignition switch to position 2 so that the dash lights come on. Then hold the window switch in the down position and keep holding it down for 10 seconds after the window is all the way down. Then make the window go fully up and hold the bottom up for 10 seconds after the window closes . Sometimes you my need to do this a few times to make it relearn . This performed properly should give you full operation of the windows. FYI. This may need to be done on every door. . This will also need to be done if you replace a window regulator of any door or door windows you replace.
Hope this helps. Mr Toofix

The power windows and driver side doorlock on my 2004 Jeep Cherokee no longer works. What is the problem?

This problem may be caused by a bad window switch on the driver door.also there is a problem with the wiring coming into that door, the wiring breaks where the door higes are, theres a rubber boot where the hinges are that contain the wiring for that door, also the door lock actuator may be bad or may be related to the window problem, you will need to test for power and ground on the driver door master window switch, remove the switch and make sure the the wiring connection to switch is on good and tight. good luck, hope this is helpful.

My toyota avalon csx,the back electric window does not close,can this be fixed at home or do i need a auto electrician ? thank you.jonny.

sometimes an easy way to see if the door MOTOR IS BAD, try banging on the door panel with either your closed fist or a rubber hammer near the bottom front of door while holding the door switch up(if the window is still open).make sure the KEY IS ON OR CAR RUNNING. if that doesnt work,and you have some mechanical ability,you could remove the DOOR SWITCH FROM THE GOOD WINDOW AND "SWAP IT" WITH THE OTHER SWITCH to see if that works. let me know if this helps u. there are only several things that can stop a window from working. ALSO -- DOES THE WINDOW WORK FROM THE MASTER SWITCH OR THE DOOR AT LEAST??
