It sounds as though you have a bearing issue in the rear differential, but hard to say with limited info

2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4.There is a grinding noise only in 4 wheel drive only when turning.Rear differencial fluid was just replaced.

This sounds like a bad CV shaft. Check the boots for grease on the outside of them or torn boots the grease may have already washed out and wiped out the joints.

1997 dodge ram pu 4x4, when I turn corners or start moving I hear a grinding noise coming from the rear end area. Any idea what would cause this and estimated repair?

most common cause is rear pads sticking (rust) and when you move, it has to break the rust from the rotor, hence the grinding noise.as long as it only does it when you start moving or turn first thing do not worry.....

1998 4wd short bed ram 1500, 5.9L. 115000 MILES- I hear a low freq. gear type noise in the rear end.sound level stays pretty much the same thru speed ranges. there is no grinding noise, just sounds like...

Have you checked the fluid level? If not, it could indicate it's too low. This isn't a 'normal' sound, but hopefully topping off the gear oil in the rearend will quiet it down.
